Private Finished Sly like a cat

"Oh my god you're serious," KC said with her voice going completely deadpan. She rubbed her temples and sighed, pupils dilating heavily. She could have tried to fight off what he was saying, the commands that he was giving, but she didn't have the patience or the energy for it.

Looking at the child hanging off of his neck with pursed lips, KC focused back on Neon and shrugged. "There's a place that mimics Earth sushi and sashimi up here. I'm pretty sure I can safely eat there. But drop that thing off with a nannie or whatever. Two things I don't like: kids and clones."

Brushing past the two of them, KC let her tail smack into Neon playfully as she sauntered towards the restaurant that she had indicated. It wasn't too far away, but she took her sweet time in getting there. And while she did, she pulled out her phone to text Hadley.

The little shop wasn't well traveled. Apparently the novelty of Earth-styled food wasn't insanely popular on the space station, especially when you could just pop down to Earth for the real thing.

But KC liked it well enough that she could come here when she was up on the space station to get a bite to eat. It was flavors that she couldn't get on the island with her limited diet, and she liked that.

Taking a seat in one of the corner booths, the Nek0 stretched out and hoisted one of her legs up onto the table to lounge with her back against the wall. And to make sure that there was no room for Neon to sit on the same side of the booth as her. But that was a minor side reason, really.

"So before we even get into whatever you were talking about with, uh, things not going smoothly. What is it you actually want? Because 'studying me' sounds like a euphemism for getting into my pants. Which you'd need Daddy's permission for."

KC listened intently, her ears perking up and her tail swishing back and forth lazily as she took in what Neon was saying. That all sounded crazy, and she really wasn't sure how she felt about someone having all of her... data? What did that even mean.

"I'd almost prefer you just want to fuck me," she said with a breathy, almost bitter laugh. "I don't want you poking around in my head, those memories and feelings are all mine. You get that, right?"

KC couldn't help but smirk at how embarrassed Neon was. "You do know I'm a custom built sex doll, right? I don't really know what you're expecting to get out of studying my 'genetic make up.' You could just ask for the notes on how we were built."

She sat up and crossed her arms, frowning slightly as she continued. "I also don't believe in altruism. You can tell me you want to help me and all the other Nek0s out of the kindness of your heart, and I'll tell you that you're a bullshitter."

"I'm as independent as I want to be," she snapped back almost automatically, leaning forward in her seat. "I was made to serve and that's what I want to do. And you said yourself you can't fix biology anyway. My nanites have nothing to do with my compulsion. That's all brain chemistry, as far as I know."

She sat back again, crossing her arms and more than a little agitated. "You don't know a fucking thing about me and you think you can waltz over here, compel me to come eat with you, and that I'll just let you poke around in my genetic code... you don't know me, dude. You knew Katharina, okay? Not me."

She huffed, dragging her feet underneath the table as the server came to take their orders. She ordered herself a water and something light. Her stomach didn't feel up to the more adventurous fare they had to offer.

"You know what, fine. Fine, whatever. But you stay out of my memories and you stay the fuck out of my programming. Even if you can, I will beat your ass if you take away my compulsion."
