Slowly, but truly, dying of boredom

Kagami sat on the lawn, her long purple hair moving in the wind. She didn't seem to be doing anything, and that is because she wasn't. She let a sigh escape from her mouth and she fell backwards onto her back. She looked up at the sky but even though the morning was overcast the sun still burned her eyes. She rolled over onto her stomach and closed her eyes.

The cool smell of fall leaves and grass entered her noise and she smiled to herself. She loved the fall the bronzes, and reds of leaves and the cool blissful wind. It all came together to form a magnificently calm feeling inside of her.

A boy began to walk along the side walk near where she was...he had a ciggarette in his mouth and a book in the other hand the ciggarette was lit and small puffs of smoke could be seen coming from his mouth causing the ciggarette to slowly began to char away...he reached into his pocket with the other hand with a sigh of his own.

He pulled out a beer and popped the top off of it with his thumb as he sighed once more before letting it drop to the ground and taking a small sip his eyes the whole time on his book.

Kagami heard a few noises one right after the other and opened her eyes to look up. She pulled herself into the sitting position and scowled at the boy saying "I highly doubt you are of legal drinking age. Not to mention that while you don't care if you die of lung cancer, second hand smoke is just as deadly."

She hated it when people marched around smoking as though it only affected them. When she was a young girl she had attracted a strange lung disorder from second hand smoke and disliked the idea of anyone smoking.

Kagami sighed again. She hadn't meant to make him angry, just to maybe put out his cigarette.

"You don't HAVE to leave, I would just appreciate it if you would put out your cigarette is all." she said. She didn't exactely know why she was trying to get him to come back, maybe she was just lonely and wanted some company.

"My name is Kagami, what is yours?" she asked, standing up.

Sonlath sighed and put the ciggaretee out by throwing it to the ground and stomping on it...he put his book down finally and put a peace of paper in it as a book mark. "Sonlath." He said plainly...he still had the beer in his hand but he wasn't going to put that away.

Hmmm this could be interesting, she thought.

"So, how old are you anyway?" she was about to add 'kid' but changed her mind, that could lead to him leaving and her being alone again.

Lately she'd been trying to spend as much time with other people as humanly possible, maybe she was going crazy.

It turned out that her standing up was a futile attempt because she just sat back down again and watched the young boy with a beer in his hand, what had led to him being an alchie? Was his life really that hard?

Hm, 12 you really are a kid. she said and laughed to herself.
Oh sorry, I'm not laughing at you, just something I was thinking earlier.

I wonder if I should ask him...it's really none of my business but...

So, why do you drink? I mean, don't answer if you don't want to I was just wondering out loud. she said and patted the ground next to her signalling that he could sit down if he liked.

Sonlath stood where he was and said nothing about it before turning around and taking a gulp of the beer in his hand...he sighed and thought about just walking away...he didn't like when people asked that question...
