Painter shakes his head, "You say you're worried about me getting hurt, then think of it like this. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, will hurt me more than having my only friend die. So don't kill yourself, I told you earlier people make mistakes, that can't be helped. Killing yourself to make up for those mistakes doesn't fix them, the mistakes were still made. Then consider this, if you die and the witch isn't vanquished, I'm left alone fighting the witch and in that case, I too may die." He looks down again, knowing he had other reasons within him, but not sure himself what they were.

She looked up, torn between what happened and her new friend. She'd do anything to set the past right, she felt she couldn't just forget about it. She felt obligated to Painter as well as his friend. She didn't want anything to happen to him because he wasn't truly involved with the witch in her mind. Because they were just friends. She remembered her promise not to betray him, she wouldn't kill herself she wasn't dumb. But she couldn't help it if while fighting the witch that she would die as the witch died.

She hadn't planned on killing herself, she knew the witch would do it for her after she stabbed the witch. She didn't want to hurt him, but she knew that if it happened it couldn't be helped even if she tried not to. She looked at him, "I... can't promise I won't die. I told you I wouldn't leave you alone and betray you and I won't let you fight her alone. But I can't promise I won't die, I'm going to fight her till she's dead and I can't promise I won't be dead at the end next to her dead body." She said without any sadness, it was a emotionless tone.

Painter looks down at the bed, not replying to her. His silence, although seeming sulky, is incredibly angry, Very well..is she's so convinced that the witch will kill when she is stabbed, then what If I deal the finishing blow? I can fly out before she's able to do anything.. He clutches his fist in anger and silently makes a promise that he would make the finishing blow and not Allie.

She looked down her heart torn, she didn't know why she cared so much for this almost complete stranger. She knew that the wound was from the witch in all her memories. She somehow felt that the wound could turn fatal, it wasn't that the witch would hit her one last time. It would be the wound if anything that she was afraid about.

Suddenly as if the wound knew that she was thinking of the witch it started to bleed again but the blood was hidden by the blanket she had borrowed from the nurse while she waited and sharp pain came from the wound. She looked at Painter then back at the floor, it was her fault he was injured. And it was her fault that he was attached to her now. She didn't know what to do, she didn't want him to live his life in pain if she were to die. Yet if she were to live there was always the chance that she'd never heal and that she'd live in pain the rest of her life. The unhealing wound would eventually get worse she figured, right now it was maintaining but it appeared when she entered near the witch's terratory. She had reason to believe it would grow, but of course Painter didn't know that.

Painter's eyes close and his fist slowly unclenches. With a sigh, he turn his legs out of bed, ignoring the searing pain in his body, and walks over to the bathroom. He does his business and goes to wash his hands. As the water runs across the surface of his skin, he begins to relax and settle down a little. Without his emotions clouding his thoughts, he begins to think about what he could do.

His ribs throb with pain as his mind begins to race, She's convinced she's dead...there's no way around that. However, The witch has an enchantment over her, obviously. From what I've noticed, whenever she becomes to stressed out because of the witch, those wounds open up. So logically, the witch dies, the wounds heal permanently..I think she's so worried about what she has to do, she has yet to realize this, and I'd rather not tell her myself..

With a deep sigh, he painfully turns to the door, pulling the IV link up behind him. He pulls the door open and walks gingerly back over to the bed, lying down on it and closing his eyes. As he leans back to relax, a painful breath escapes his mouth and his teeth stop grinding together because of the pain.

When he was in the bathroom, she thought about her life. She thought about how when she was with Painter in the sky for once she felt happy, she didn't know if it was the presence of Painter or to hear wings again. She had promised herself to not get involved with anyone on a boyfriend/girlfriend level. She didn't want to get hurt or hurt anyone and now she had a friend that wanted her to live. She truly didn't want to hurt him, she almost felt like breaking their friendship just so that if she died he wouldn't be as hurt.

She looked down, if her memories were right... Everyone in her life wanted her dead or to be their slave, she didn't have a clear memory of her parents or her life but a part of her felt that. She sighed as he came in... "I'm sorry... I didn't say it right... In order to put my past behind me I have to kill her, I know I'll get a wound from her depending on the severity my fate would rest. But I mean... I mean... That I don't want to hold back just because I might die, if I can end her life I don't want to stop. Because I'll forever have to deal with the memories and things and I can't take it. I don't want to hurt you, you mean a lot to me, but I don't want to play it safe when I could make her leave this world." She said this with a bit of emotion in her voice, she tried to contain herself but a bit of emotion slipped into her voice.

She saw the surge of pain, "Oh!! I'm so sorry! I'll go get a nurse and..." Just then the nurse came in, "Time for your next dose of pain killer."

Painter turns his head and just stares at her, despite her speech he did not reply, and barely even acknowledged the nurse coming in and injecting the pain killers. His look gives away nothing of what he is thinking, and his mind races despite how relaxed he looks, She's overly worried about this.. He sighs and finally looks away from her, choosing to remain quiet for the moment.

Allie was silent, the nurse gave him his shot and looked at the two and left. She seemed to feel in a odd position with the silence between Painter and Allie so she left the room as soon as she finished, leaving Allie and Painter alone once again.

Allie was silent, she seemed so emotionless sometimes and the times it leaked out she wished it didn't. She had not been as happy as she was with Painter that day flying, she felt something she didn't know what nor why. After all he was only trying to cheer her up as a normal human, but she couldn't help but have a small part of her feeling odd. She had never felt this before, it was a odd caring and this made her not want to hurt him evenmore than anyother person.

But the pull for her to erase her past was just as equally strong, of course it could get stronger. But for within one day for him to match the strength of her want to erase her past and settle it for eternity, he had already made a big impression. She didn't know why one would have such a pull on her. She remained silently looking down.

Painter lets out a sigh, deciding to break the silence, "We'll worry about that day when it comes..," he finally says, "Until then, we need to prepare for that day. Considering there's going to be quite a delay because of these ribs, we might as well spend our time trying to find this Axel guy first. See if there's anything he can teach us before we get in over our heads." He gives her an encouraging smile, wanting to end the awkward situation their argument had caused.

She smiled back lightly, "Okay, we'll do that and only worry about that day on that day. As for your ribs we could find a healer and they could fix you up so you only can't practice for a week at most. Of course it doesn't mean they'll be willing to do it for sure but we can try." She said to him hoping that they wouldn't be down too long, she didn't think one could break a rib so easily. She decided they'd have to work on his endurance and have him drink tons of milk. She knew many people didn't like milk or thought it a myth but she didn't break a bone as easy as he had so she figured her addiction to milk and ice cream was good for her.
