Terra had a sad look in her eye for a second. "I... I don't remember anything of my past life. Or any of my life, not including everything that happened once I was at the academy. I've tried for hours but..." she sighed. Looking up, she put a grin on again. She could never be sad for long. "So, where'd you come from?"

"Not much of a past, just kinda there." He said this sidestepping the question, not really fancied by the thought of telling a stranger about his sad past, nor about the tragity of being doomed forever to the age of 14. He wanted almost to leave but decided he couldn't live his thousands of years dodging people. He forced a smile. "So you like the lake?" He said barely able to keep his smile his face was somewhat seeable hence the forced smile.

He wanted so much to go somewhere quite and mope around kicking some dead bird or something. He looked at the reflection of the leaves on the lake, his eyes like two saddened pools of dreams that would never come true. He looked at the water wishing in his heart one day he'd find that one in a billion girl.

Terra reached her hand up to lightly rest on his cloaked should. She leaned down so she could hopefully see his face. "Don't tell me the first person I've met wants to go mope around for what they don't have and kick a dead bird around, or something like that. Who wants more-- who needs more than a good heart and kind friends?" she leaned back adn took her hand off his shoulder, smiling slightly.

"Not anyone I know, hopefully. Well, for now, you are the only person I know!" she chuckled.

He smirked, "Your good at this aren't you... Okay I'll talk to you, but I'm not promising anything." He looked at her, this girl was odd. He liked odd people. "Okay so you really want to know about my past ey?" He wasn't planning on telling her honestly his past, but possibly see if she'd care.

"Not anyone I know, hopefully. Well, for now, you are the only person I know!" she chuckled.

He smiled... "Same here."

Terra smiled. "I try to be. But, it doesn't work everywhere." she sighed.

"Okay so you really want to know about my past ey?"

Terra nodded. "I really don't care how you acted 'back then', the only thing I'm concerned with is how you act towards people towards now."

She waited for him to start.

"I see.... Well since you think I should be mister happiness I'll tell you about my past. See if you truly then will think the same." He said this going back into the farthest memory.

"I was born on a day of luck to the Chinese, friday the 13th. I had a happy childhood up to when I turned 14. That year on my birthday bad luck entered my family. It just so happened my father was a city protector as was my mom. They didn't know the city was under attack. Two fierce angry vampires were killing, murdering, burning buildings, people, the town."

"Then they came to my house." He looked down. "My parents and I unknowing were just about to open my presents and talk of fun things to do. When the two vampires knocked. My mom got up from the table answering the door, she was one of the best fighters in our village they grabbed her by the neck and came in carrying her thus so. Just so you get the picture without all the gore. My parents were brutally murdered in front of me, then they turned to me. The helpless kid laying on a dead body, they beat me and left me with the curse of vampirism. Now I can never grow up, never have a family. And if you really think that's bad here's the worse part kid. I'm 300 years old." He wondered how'd she react to getting this much information. He didn't regret pouring it on her though. She was sick of people looking at him like he couldn't handle things when he already had handled way more then he should've.

Terra smiled sadly and put her hand on his shoulder again, leaning her face into his face. "I'd rather have that for a past then have nothing at all. You felt love. You still have that love in your heart. Compared to your past, mine's just a big fat glob of nothing." she pulled her head away. Taking her hand quickly off his shoulder, she looked back to the lake.

He looked at her mystified over what she said. She wasn't like people he had met, she was... different. "I'm sorry," He said lightly he didn't know what to do but he wanted to get to know this strange girl who stood out in his mind. He didn't know what to say and didn't know if she had plans of lounging at the lake all day or if he could possibly go somewhere else that was less of a couples place. He didn't like the whole being with a girl at the lake kind of thing.

"You know, your not necessarily doomed to a loveless life. There's always the possiblity of you meeting someone in the future and marrying some day. I'm never going to have that most likely, you can still find love untainted with cares of this world." He said putting his hand lightly on her shoulder. "Just have faith that one day that emptiness in your heart will be filled."

Terra smiled softly. "There's a big chance you could fall in love, you just have to big deeper than the surface." she stood up, fiddling with her braid. "I... I need to get back to the academy..." she really had no reason to go, but she didn't think this conversation would have a good ending.

"Oh..." He said a bit of dissappointment in his voice. "Um.... maybe I could walk you back and we could talk on the way?" He said with a questioning look on his face, "You know, your the first person in a while who I feel equal with when I speak to you, I'd love to talk with you again." He said to her with friendly smile. He felt that they could become good friends possibly, he never would've thought she and he as a couple. But that didn't mean it was impossible in the coming future.
