Terra, sitting on the edge of the lake, was bored. She had nothing in the world to do, so was taking large stones and rolling them across the lake. She was getting bigger each time, and her eyes were starting to glow. One almost made it across the lake in about twenty skips. She sighed and leaned back onto the sandy shore. Her hair was in one long braid down her back, and she was in a yellow and pink bikini. The waves inched up her feet, and she smiled. Her smiled turned into a frown as she talked in her head. I want someone to talk to badly. I wanna yell something out.

Percy walked along the lake. There wasn't many people there today, he looked rather down. He was thinking about what Valentine had said, once again he had made another couple. Yet he was still alone he looked at the lake rippling he was in a dark cloak. Sadly him being sensitive to the sun made him either where a cloak and look like the grim reaper or hurt so bad from the sunlight that'd for two days he'd have to stay in pitch black and lather himself in sunblock. He wasn't pale completely but he wasn't tan.

He kept his face down kicking a stone. He wished he could lift the curse off of him. He sat down observing a girl on the beach.

Terra saw something dark move out of the corner of her eye. She looked over to see a figure in a dark cloak. Ooh, spooky She stood up and walked up to the boy, leaning down so her face was almost inside the hood, she spoke. "Heya, whatcha doing?" she asked, reaching up to pull his hood down so she could see his face properly.

He moved in hand in super speed and held his hood. "Excuse me I happen to be very sensitive to sun, so please don't touch the hood. If you want to see my face I'll show it to you in the woods or somewhere shaded but not in sunlight kid. Sorry." He said moving away from her a bit starting to walk away.

"Oh and to your first question, I'm thinking."

Terra blinked and followed him. "Sorry, I didn't know. By the way, I am not a kid." she dodged around front of him. "And don't think that I'm being mean, cause I'm not, and you don't have to walk away." she stopped, so hopefully he would, too." Her braid was hanging over her shoulder now, but Terra didn't make any motion to move it.

"So... what's your name?" He said looking at her knowing she wouldn't leave him be if he left. He moved to a log on the beach and offered her a seat. Waiting for her to be seated before him, he had always had the gentlemanly way in him even if he was annoyed. He wondered if she really wasn't a kid either, he always kept his eye opened for the possible girl. But figured she didn't exist.

Terra sat down beside him. "Name's Terra. Can I have yours?" she toldhim, starting to skip stones again. "Why do you not like the sun? It's a marvelous thing to feel the warmth on your skin and the sunshine in your hair." she sighed, "But then again, there are those whpo think every time they see the sun the have to stay in pitch darkness for two days and lather themselves in sunscreen." she shook her head. "But sometimes, those are the kind of people you have to open up to and show your feelings, cause somettimes, they're the only ones that understad." she looked down at the sand. "But, what am I rambling on about?": she chuckled.

"Names Percy, I'm a vampire I used to like the sun though. And I am one of those people who lather themselves in sunscreen and stay out of the sun or else be layed up for two days. And not because I'm mental, it's because I'm a vampire." He looked at her it was refreshing to hear someone outspoken like him.

"But sometimes, those are the kind of people you have to open up to and show your feelings, cause somettimes, they're the only ones that understand."

A smile crossed his face, "It's true."

Terra looked at him, her mouth slightly open. She blinked, and looked away. "I'm sorry." she looked down and blushed.

"Its true.

She swallowed, trying to keep her eyes off him. She dropped the pebble she was about to skip and sighed. She had just, again, made a fool of herself.

He smiled lightly. "It's okay, I've been a bit over talkitive myself many a few times so it's okay." He looked at her, she didn't seem upset that he was a vampire. More so embarassed at what she had said, he thought they might possibly become friends if he didn't mess things up with his outspoken ways and so forth.

"So um... have you any family?" He asked wanting to learn more about her.
