Mimosa sat on the bench by the lake. She couldn't have been happier...or well, so she thought. She picked up a stone and tossed it along the lake, watching as it skipped along.
The breeze blew her long dark hair behind her, but it fell back in place almost perfectly.
She was so happy that her boyfriend, Judas, was back. And now they seemed even closer. But she wanted to make up for lost time and he wanted to...what? Take over the world?
She sighed. "Trouble in paradise?" a dark voice asked.
She needed not to spin around. "None of your business anymore, is it? Wait, scratch that, it never was any of your business Ross."
Ross appeared out of the shadows. He stood under a tree close by, but still kept his distance. "Mimosa, you're a nice girl. You shouldn't be with him."
She whirled around. "Shut up, Ross. It's over, even though it never begun. Get over it." With that, she turned back to her stones.
