He was mean to Levi more often than not, but that didn't mean he didn't care about the irritating thing. He could tell that it was verging on a difficult subject, and Ty almost changed the subject when Levi slowly continued. He was going to say that Levi didn't have to tell him, but of course he didn't. He wanted to know now, and if he backed down this far, he might not ever end up knowing. However, despite his burning curiosity, he didn't think it would be worth it to traumatise the boy further by forcing him to talk about things he'd rather forget.

His roommate had been quick to nestle himself into his body, and Ty had to strain to pick out the words. The situation was beginning to make him wildly uncomfortable, and he rolled his shoulders back for a moment to avoid shoving Levi off. "Oh." Corporal punishment was nothing new to him, he didn't see how some people could make such a huge fuss out of it. Deciding to believe that Levi was maybe overplaying his situation a bit, Ty gently circled his fingers around the base of Levi's horns. "How much worse? " He could just about feel he was digging deeper than he had any right to go, but there was just something about forbidden knowledge that spurred him on. "I mean... If you wanna keep talking, I guess."

<div align=center>"It's okay," he returned, "you asked, I guess I'll tell." Shifting backwards again, letting go of Tyberius and dropping his hands into his lap, it was probably best not to push that. If he clung for too long the other boy might end up getting uncomfortable and snap again. He didn't want that. "I grew up," he shrugged, he only assumed that was why things had happened. "Didn't love me in the way he was supposed to but damn did he 'love' me in other ways." Though, he didn't even laugh at his own joke this time, it didn't do much to lighten the mood.

"I'm sorry, that was a bad joke." He frowned at himself, "rape isn't funny, I should know that first hand by now." Levi didn't really like to dwell on his past, sure, he wasn't entirely happy about talking about it, but what had happened had happened and there was no point moping about it. That hadn't made him cry, though. He cleared his throat softly, his tail curling up around his left wrist and clinging there. "He always told me that was the only thing I was good for, and I guess he was right, wasn't he?"</div>

His breath came out in a relieved puff. Too much physical contact made him prickly and restless. His hands rubbed together, almost as if he was trying to brush off the feeling of being so close to someone for so long. "I'm sorry." The words were immediate, and Ty blinked. His previous assumption that Levi had been overworking the situation appeared to be way off the mark, and he frowned slightly. He had gotten so jaded to the overly dramatic backstories of his peers, the fact about Levi's didn't shock him perhaps as much as it would have when he was still new to the island.

"No, I ... It isn't." In other circumstances, Ty might have liked to make fun of the incident, but for whatever reason, all he felt was pity and ... affection. "He was wrong, though. You're an irritating shit for a roommate, but I ... I don't mind you. I don't like a lot of people — and I'm not saying I like you, but ... You're not ...That bad." He had made himself feel awkward now, and in his opinion, it felt like he was confessing his love. It wasn't like he loved anyone but "you're the closest I've ever come to liking someone." That wasn't supposed to have been audible, and he quickly tacked on "platonically, of course." To the end.

<div align=center>"Don't be." Levi answered, almost as quickly as the apology had been spoken. The next thing Tyberius said nearly made Levi pinch himself to check he wasn't dreaming. He frowned just a tad at being called irritating, but at least the rest of it was sweet. A small smile crossed his features, a genuine one this time, rather than what it had been before. "You're okay too, y'know." He stated, with a nod. He did like Tyberius, he wasn't boring like every other person he came across. He liked him for teasing him all the time, he liked him for being a stubborn fuck all the time. It kept things interesting. He was completely unpredictable, and Levi liked that.

"You're a better person than you think you are." He added, in a quieter voice, "thank you." He lifted a hand and petted the older man affectionately on the head. "I guess it doesn't really bother me.. All that crap, I mean. I'm kinda glad he kicked me out in the end." He said, with a shrug. God knows what would have happened if Levi hadn't been kicked out. "Gabriel is wrong, right?" He asked, brow furrowing just a little, "I don't think I've ever really loved anyone, but... Some day it will happen, right?"</div>

His expression grew cross, and his frown deepened. He wasn't just okay, he was incredible and beautiful. But, Levi saying things like that would likely earn him a punch. "No. I'm an awful person. Don't get too comfortable." He glowered at the hand on his head, huffing quietly at the odd display of affection. It ... felt nice enough, but still.
In some odd way, Ty was also a bit glad that Levi had gotten kicked out. If he hadn't been made to leave, he wouldn't have come to the island, and wouldn't have been assigned as his roommate.

Then again, had they not been assigned together, Ty wouldn't have to deal with feelings.

Catching the hand that had patted his head, Ty gently traced the palm. He knew absolutely nothing about palm reading, but that didn't mean he couldn't give Levi a little mystical hope. "See, look." Pushing Levi's smaller hand flat into his own larger one, his finger glided down a random crease in the centre. "People can tell fortunes and futures from the lines in a palm. This one means love, I think." Tyberius drew his finger across the warm skin, moving to another line. His eyebrows creased, and his face took on a rather shocked appearance. "Oh no." Looking up from Levi and back to the palm, Ty morphed his expression into something he hoped was a little pitying. "Your palm has a lot of interesting things to say."

<div align=center>"I know I piss you off," tugging his knees into his chest, his chin dropped to them and he frowned just a little. "This world confuses me a lot, y'know? I haven't really been here very long... And I guess most of the time I have spent here has been in hospital." He was grateful to Tyberius for showing him the sea though. Even if he had almost drowned, he'd had fun. "Thank you for not getting as irritated with me as you could do." That was why he came across as weird half the time, it wasn't that Levi was strange, it was just... He didn't really understand.

Blinking as Ty took his hand, Levi was a little confused for a moment. He had never heard of palm reading, of course, and being who he was he was completely gullible into believing everything Tyberius was saying. Giggling softly at the tickle the older man's finger sent across his palm, the boy's fingers curled just a little. "Really?" He asked, in a small voice and leaning over to have a look at the line Ty was talking about. He didn't really understand how it meant love, but his room mate was smart. He trusted Ty's opinion on things.

Your palm has a lot of interesting things to say. Confused again, Levi tilted his head to the side. "What kind of things?"</div>

He couldn't get mad at Levi, not really. He made those stupid sad faces, and he just ... Couldn't be mad for long. "I know." In a way, Ty enjoyed showing Levi new things. It made him feel incredibly smart, and he probably didn't need the huge ego boost.
Both of his hands cradled Levi's smaller one, his thumbs gently smoothing out the lines. This was almost like ... Bonding time, right? They were bonding. Like normal roommates.

"This one says you're gay." Ty quirked an eyebrow upwards at Levi, smiling faintly as he dropped his head back down, coal black hair flopping over his forehead. "And this one is supposed to mean long life, I think. Yours is very wide and long, which I guess isn't surprising. Can demons die?" One of his thumbs moved across to the other side, circling a short dashed line. "All these little lines are the people that love or like you. Look how many there are. Each time you gain someone's love, you'll get a new line on your palm." He didn't know whether that was true or not, but he figured Levi was too short term memory to remember to keep checking his palms for new lines.

<div align=center>Levi genuinely thought that Ty was very clever. He trusted his judgement on most things and generally believed more or less everything he was told. It wasn't that Levi was really completely gullible, it was more that he just really trusted Tyberius. For God knew what reason, however. Levi supposed he wasn't really used to having close friends, and right now Ty was in actual fact the closest thing he had to a friend. He never really got attached to other people, humans were boring creatures for the most part. Highly predictable and highly mundane. Levi hated the mundane. This one says you're gay. A frown crossed the boy's features.

"I'm not gay," he whined. This was the age old argument, really. There was no use the other fighting back and denying it if the other called him gay, since the one that had called him it wouldn't believe him anyway. Levi nodded when asked if he could die, "if you stab me I'll die, at least... But if I don't get any fatal injuries I suppose I'll live forever." Or fatal demon diseases, but they were hard to pick up around here, there weren't enough demons for starters. "Really?" He asked, "why does that happen? If someone stops loving me does a line go away?"</div>

Pigs would fly before he believed that Levi wasn't gay, I mean just look at him. Ty shook his head quickly-- if he looked too long he might start thinking of himself as gay as well. "Oh, well, that explains it I suppose. This line says you won't get stabbed anytime soon, though. Quickly, Ty looked up, his mind racing to try to come up with a decent answer. "I ... Uh. No. It's a reminder. Even if you don't see someone anymore, as long as they loved you, you'll still be able to have their affection with you."

That sounded incredibly poetic to him, and extremely uncharacteristic. "Or so I've heard." He wanted to make Levi happy again, and muddling his way through feelings didn't seem like a very interesting prospect. Ty was never very good at considering his feelings, nor anyone elses, and action was always the better route to take. He could let his body speak for him. "Here." Reaching his arms out, he wrapped himself around Levi, tugging the smaller boy back into his chest, flopping backwards and holding Levi close. Staring up at the ceiling for a moment, his chest expanded in a sigh. Them touching again was absolutely Levi's fault. He had done something to make Ty want to touch him again. "But who could honestly stop loving you, really?"

<div align=center>Pleased to know that no one was going to stab him soon, that made Levi feel a little better. Though, he didn't really know how badly he wanted to live forever. If his friends weren't immortal then they'd die when he was only young, and if they were immortal, who said they'd want to spend the rest of their endless life in contact with him? Levi frowned at the thought. He supposed it'd be a vicious circle, really. Your friends dying, making new ones, being sad, and the cycle repeats, you might as well just skip the middle man and never have any friends at all, which was the same as being sad all the time, really. Levi liked company.

Letting out a soft oof as Ty tugged him to his chest, and squirming a little as he found himself being pulled backwards, though didn't resist. It took him a second or two to get comfortable again, nestled against the older man's chest with his head tucked beneath his chin. "A lot of people, apparently." He mumbled, finger tracing idle little circles on Tyberius' skin. There was something comforting about situations like this. Levi wasn't a cuddly person. Not really. He never stuck around after he'd slept with someone to cuddle, and frankly, the thought made him sick. So why was it different with Ty? Nuzzling a little closer, and letting his eyes flutter shut, Levi really rather appreciated the warmth another body gave out. Or maybe he just liked Tyberius.</div>
