Mimosa, being new, walks into the room. She looks around at all of the other students having fun and talking with their friends.

She sighs to herself and thinks, I don't know anyone...I feel so outcasted. She quietly makes her way to a free seat in the corner, and pulls out a book she'd brought with her. It's not that she didn't want to make friends, she was just bad at being friendly...

"Hey!!!" Tiger walked over to a girl. She looked like she felt very out of place, and Tiger couldn't stand seeing anybody like that. "You're new, right? I'm Tiger... Reed. Wow, your eyes are gorgeous! That's such a pretty color!" Tiger grinned and sat down next to the girl.

Mimosa looked up suddenly. There, sitting next to her, was a pretty girl she'd never seen before. Her eyes? What was that? "Oh, um, thanks. My mom said my father had them, too...and, yes I'm new. My name is Mimosa Bird." Man, she thought I'm bad at this...

"Cool. This is an awesome place. I learned how to control my powers on my first day! I'm still pretty bad at it... but I'm better than I was! I have weather powers, what about you?" Tiger was on her mile-a-minute setting, and she just couldn't stop. She felt really talkative around quiet people, and quiet around talkative people. She figured someone had to lead the conversation, and if the other person wasn't talking, it might as well be her.

Mimosa stared at her. How does she get her mouth to move that fast? She stifled a laugh. Tiger actually seemed really nice. I mean, she could have left Mimosa all alone, but instead here she was, talking to her. "Well, I have telekenisis and I'm an empath. My mom's an empath too, so we're really close. She says I get my telekenisis from my father-" Her voice caught. She tried to change the subject. "So, how long have you been going here?"

Suddenly Mimosa's book floated up in the air and landed in Judas's hands.
"Hrmmm. History, eh? Nice subject indeed."
He let the book float out of his hands and return to Mimosa and then nodded slightly to the two girls.
"Good to see such pleasant people around. I'm new too...Even more interesting to see another telekinetic..."
Judas delivered the last word dryly, although he seemed to be smiling charmingly.

Mimosa turned to the goateed stranger. "Yes, I rather enjoy history. It fascinates me. Just as telekenisis does."

She looked toward Tiger, almost apologetically. Mimosa hoped that she understood she was only being friendly. She turned back to the guy standing in front of her. She extended her hand as she spoke. "I'm Mimosa Bird. And you are?"

Judas peered carefuly at her, as if studying her for future transcription, and stiffly held out his hand, softly accepting her gesture.
"Yes, well, pleased to meet you, I suppose. The name is Judas Anderson, I'm a new student. Quite...fun to meet another telekinetic. Quite...interesting."

Mimosa wasn't quite sure what to make of him. He chose his words so...obtusely. She shook his hand, and than dropped hers slowly as if studying him. She noticed him studying her back, and quickly dropped her gaze to the floor. "Yes ... interesting."

Iago smiled, although it seemed an odd expression on his face, which was still studying her's.
"Well then, what a pleasure to meet you both..."
He peered out of the corner of his eye at the other girl.
"Tiger was it? With powers of weather? Quite fascinating..."
Then he returned his calculating gaze to Mimosa.
"Well, I really must take my leave, but it was quite enjoyable meeting you, perhaps we shall see one another again as friendly students within the school. Feel free if you'd like to talk about anything, or need help studying. Quite frankly I was too busy burning my history textbook. I've learnt it all anyway...History is a farce, better left forgotten."
And with that, he was gone.
