Singing of an Orphan

"how can you see into my eyes like open doors
leading you down into my core
where I’ve become so numb without a soul my spirit sleeping somewhere cold
until you find it there and lead it back home

(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I can’t wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
bid my blood to run
(I can’t wake up)
before I come undone
(Save me)
save me from the nothing I’ve become

now that I know what I’m without
you can't just leave me
breathe into me and make me real
bring me to life

(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I can’t wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
bid my blood to run
(I can’t wake up)
before I come undone
(Save me)
save me from the nothing I’ve become

Bring me to life
(I've been living a lie, there's nothing inside)
Bring me to life

frozen inside without your touch without your love darling only you are the life among the dead

all this time I can't believe I couldn't see
kept in the dark but you were there in front of me
I’ve been sleeping a thousand years it seems
got to open my eyes to everything
without a thought without a voice without a soul
don't let me die here
there must be something more
bring me to life

(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I can’t wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
bid my blood to run
(I can’t wake up)
before I come undone
(Save me)
save me from the nothing I’ve become

(Bring me to life)
I’ve been living a lie, there’s nothing inside
(Bring me to life)"

Irrita sang Her shaggy shoulder length silver hair down her red eyes closed her hands on her stomache to control her breathing. She stood in the middle of the room in the middle of the night. Her silver hair reflecting the moon, Her voice a saprano and alto she sang perfectly, her singing as soft as snow but stung like a bee.

A silent figure stood in the doorway, a long trench coat covering his overall Gothic appearance.
"You are good." Came the blank, bored voice of the male, a hint of coldness at the edges of it.
"Amy Lee is not one that can be easily replicated." A small smirk started to twitch at the sides of his thin lips that never seemed to move.

The hairs on the back of her pale neck stood on ends, "uh..." she didn't know what to say her hands clenched and she was filled with shock and fright, "uh...erm..." she stammered she ran her left hand through her silver hair, "Th-thank you." she said quietly but dared not to turn and look at the keeper of the voice.

"Why don't you turn and look at me? I feel rather insulted." His eyes flashed with amusement, most people when they looked at him flinched, screamed, fainted or ran away, but that was normally little children or the most happiest person in the world.
"Interesting time to be awake and singing, don't ya think?" His voice remained rather blank and cold.

She turned but kept her gaze upon the floor she only piveted towards him but still did not move. She blinked her red eyes several times before replying, "I suppose, couldn't sleep much." she said in barley a whisper. She rested her hands to her sides and looked up but saw only the outline of him as a tall slender shadow.

"You know, dangerous creatures lurk around at this time of night." He laughed for once, although it was short it was extremely cold and mean, even daunting.
"It's no place to hang around for a girl of your status, you never know who's going to come along." His lips twitched again as if he was to smirk, but since they had not moved for so long they had become almost stuck.

"I've been alone scince the age of four." she said glaring at the floor and at his laugh she rested her hand on her wepon, a dagger with a black leather handle it was dull and worn but surved it's purpose,"I can handle the things that go scratch."

"Oh, is that so?" He laughed again, "Are you so cocky that you over-esteminate yourself?"
He, comapred to her, seemed unarmed, but you never know with a person like him, he could have something in his cloak or a mental strength.

((Sorry for it being short, I gotta go.))

But he moved, blocking the exit with his tall, dark figure.
"But I do know that you can sing well." He smirked, his lips finally giving way.
He paused briefly, "That is true, I do not know how you fight. I never said I did."
