The white haired boy walked into the clearing. Water lineda small bridge which he, of course, could not see, yet. His name was Trevor. He walked along a path, murmuring quietly under his breath to create a map of the area. He finally found the bridge up ahead and walked up to the top. he heard a splash, but could not see its owner until he spoke.

"Hello?? Hello?? Testing..." he said in his deep voice. The sound waves bounced back at him and showed him the image of two mermaids , but they didnt look to friendly. They seemed to be circling the bridge, watching the 19 year old. He sighed when they submerged themselves in the water, because he could no longer see them.

"Testing, testing.. 1,2,3. Testing.." he said, trying to find them again. he thought how strange he proboably sounded speaking to himself and SOUNDING like he was testing out a mic for a play. He sighed when he still coul not see them. Then, out of no where, One jumped above the bridge. It just barely missed his head.

"That was close.. too too close" he said, trying to keep the picture. The mermaid that had tried to take him out kept going in and out of the water, bobbing in the water. it was hard for him to keep the image for more than a few moments. He just needed a minute to get all the looks right.

He wasn't supposed to be here.... Mommy was definitely going to be angry with him when she found out about this!! But with a child's curiosity, how could he abide by rules that said 'do not do this'? It was unheard of! Not to mention these mermaids might have some poisons he could add to his collection to play with.

Setsuna walked on the grass, the bridge just coming into his view. The five-year-old held a black briefcase to his chest, filled with all his little 'toys' — in other words, containers, needles, syringes... poisons.

Blonde hair was fixed so that it covered half of his face, like always. Dark blue eyes looked around for any trace of mermaids or mermaid scales, since he wanted to see what properties could be found in them. Maybe they contained a cure for something, or even better, a poison!

"Testing, testing.. 1,2,3. Testing.."

He looked up when he heard a voice and looked at the now nearer bridge. Eyes went slightly wide once he saw a mermaid jump over the bridge... awesome! He finally found what he needed. He ran to the bridge, stopping a few feet in front of Trevor and looking at him. "Hey, Mister!" he said, waving, then turned his attention to the water.

"Mermaids!! Pretty awesome, huh?" Setsuna looked back to Trevor, obviously not really understanding what peril they were both in.

What? Someone was there? What do I do?? trevor thought, looking around frantically. THe person wasnt what he had first found when he had made the voice reflection map, so they must have just arrived. He turned to the area where he heard the voice from.

"No!They arent pretty awesome" he said. He finally found the kid. He was LITTLE! TRevor got up and sat down in front of the kid. He heard, just in time, a large splash of water and he pulled the kid down to the ground just as the mermaid nearly took them BOTH out.

"See why?" he said, actually scared. But, not for himself, for the kid. "Im TRevor Crestmonte....Whats your name?" he continued. he had to keep talking or he wouldnt be able to see anything, and that wouldnt help if a mermaid attacked again. What he didnt understand was why a young boy was standing, alone, on a place with evil dangerous mermaids..

"No!They arent pretty awesome"

Setsuna blinked. "Why not?" he asked, looking up at Trevor before slowly looking down as the older male sat down in front of him. As he heard the splash, he turned his head, only to be brought down by Trevor. He blinked, looking at the water, beginning to feel afraid now. The five-year-old swallowed, trying to remind himself that he was here on a mission that he really wanted to complete.

"See why?"

The boy nodded, staying close to Trevor and clinging to his shirt with one hand. "Yeah... but I have to find out if they have any sorts of poisons..." he said, determined. Hearing that from a little kid would probably be unsettling to other people, but to his mother, it really wasn't. Cordelia thought it was just a phase.

"Im TRevor Crestmonte....Whats your name?"

"I'm Suna Brooks," he told Trevor, leaving out the first syllable of his name like he always did. "My mommy works at the school. Do you know her?"

"Poisons?? Wait.. How old are you???? You are looking for POISONS! "He said, astounded. The boy couldnt have been older than 7 years old. It didnt make sense that the kid would need poisons.. but.. what did he know?

"How about we leave and go find your mom or another member of your family. I wouldnt want you to get hurt. Those things are vicious. COme one" he said as he stood up and helped the young boy up. He started to walk away, but he turned and waited for Suna.

Setsuna blinked. "I'm five," he said quietly, holding up one whole hand and showing all of his fingers. He then blinked, confused. "Is it bad to be looking for poisons?" That was a first. Mommy didn't seem too bothered by it... then again, most of the Brooks family members were all a bit cuckoo in some way.

The little boy frowned when told that they should go find his mommy. "But I just got here... and I wanted to get my poisons..." he said sadly. He looked at the water and sniffled, but decided he could always come back. Mommy would help him get his poisons. He slowly got to his feet and walked to where Trevor was, holding out a hand for him to take. Cordelia had always told him to hold hands when walking, and since it was dangerous out here, it made sense. It would be kind of bad if they got separated.

"Ok.. One second.. I'll go get you a mermaid scale or somethign for your poisons. Just.. do NOT move. " he said as he turned to face the water again. THe picture was still there. THis shouldnt e too hard... maybe..

"Testing testing.. 1,2,3.. " he said, to try to find a scale. HE saw a flashing object. It was rainbow colored and wet. It was a fresh scale! He walke dover and reached down to pick it up. His fingers wrapped around the shiny object, and then.. a very large hiss and a n even bigger splash. A mermaid jumped out of the water and tackled him. It clawed him and bit him. He threw the scale in SUna's general direction.

"Now, would be a good time to RUN!! !" he yelled to suna. He couldnt clearly see the mermaid, but he could definately feel her crushing him and peircing his body. He kicked fracticly and he felt the weight lift for a second. He got up and dashed a few feet up the hill, then collapsed on the ground.

Setsuna smiled widely when Trevor went back to get the scale. He opened his little brief case and looked at where its spot was to be, and didn't move, just as the older male had directed. As soon as he saw Trevor pick up the smile, a wide smile came to the boy's face and he clapped his hands together happily. He wouldn't need to come back later, and mommy wouldn't get mad! Well, she wouldn't get mad as long as she didn't know he had a scale and had been to the brook.

"Now, would be a good time to RUN!! !"

The boy's dark blue eyes went wide. He caught the scale and put it in his case, put the case on the ground, then ran to Trevor. He wasn't going to let the older male just get hurt! Even once he was free, Suna still ran to him, and he got on his knees on the ground and grabbed Trevor's arms. "Come on!! We've gotta get out of here!!" he exclaimed, backing up as if trying to pull the older male along.

He watched the younger boy run over , but he shut his eyes.

"Go find your mom and do yourself a favor and dont come to the rook unatteneded " he said, then.. he passed out. He passed out from a large loss of blood. His arm was badly twisted and he was bleeding badly on his chest and wrists. Only a little longer and he could die. Unless, someone SAVED him..

Setsuna blinked and stared at the blood. He swallowed, not liking how much of it there was. "I'll go get my mommy and we'll come back to get you!" he yelled, then ran off, leaving his case of poisons behind. In times like this, he knew that human lives were more important than his little toys.

As soon as he reached the academy, he ran to his mother's office. "BROOK! BLEEDING!! MERMAIDS!!" he shouted, flailing his arms all over the place to try and show what had happened. It wasn't working, and at first Cordelia thought it was just her child's imagination... until she saw that look of urgency on his face.

Jumping out of the chair, she scooped her boy up into her arms and started running in super speed toward the brook. Suna explained all that had happened on the way, and once there, Cordelia set him down and went to Trevor.

She ripped off her left sleeve and ripped it into two, then wrapped the pieces around his wrists. She ripped off her other sleeve and made a temporary sling. She was assuming it was broken because of how it was twisted.

"Hang in there, kid," Cordelia told him as she then ripped off a pant leg from just a little bit above the knee. She wrapped it around his chest, sighing. She really did need to get her degree in medicine.

The vampire poked his cheek. "Wake up, kiddo," she said. "I have to get you back to the academy."
