Malara Tor

Malara was taking a rare day off to spend time with her darling brother. Their schedules kept them from really hanging out too much, but she did want to get to know this new, forgetful him. It seemed to make him happy, not remembering all the things they did before in their lives as gods, so she figured she would have to be content with that. This was a chance for them to start over, after all.
But that didn't mean she couldn't tease him still. Which is why after lunch, she was dragging him to the Underground to see what kinds of illicit goodies she could buy. She had heard whisperings of the black market from some of her less upstanding friends, and was dying to see what was offered by these so called legitimate businesses.

Dragging him along was just an added bit of fun. Seeing how Vatar would react to the illegalities going on. As well as his reactions to her prancing around in an outfit that stretched the limits of public decency.
She had plenty of money, having saved as much as she could for just this occasion. And she was not going home without something to show for her shopping trip.

Currently, Mal was window shopping, just peeking to get a look at what was available for sale. She crossed her fingers, hoping for Frentjai to be available somewhere. But really anything that caught her eye would probably draw her in, as she wasn't looking for anything specific. Throwing a grin back at Vatar, she shouted at him, "Hey bro, keep up. Don't want to lose you down here."

How did he even get stuck in this situation. When Malara had initially asked to hang out he was expecting a peaceful day at home watching cheesy earth movies. Now here he was tailing after her having no clue where they were going and why. He hated these kinds of situations. His spider senses where going off non stop as his sister's happiness scared him slightly. His sister's hobbies included all the things he either wanted nothing to do with or would be a really weird scenario. Up until the lunch Vatar was okay,he may not have gotten his cheesy movie session but a good burger could always make him happy. When she started heading towards he less savory part of town was when this whole feeling of regret filled him.

Vatar had never been to this neighborhood, not out of fear but becuase he never had a reason to. This place was a hotbed for illegal activity and half the paperwork he did somehow tied back to this place. If there was ever a personification for the word scummy this was it. Not long after they had been walking he processed their destination. It was like a Walmart for all the things a criminal or average person may need. Its proper term was a black market and from all the rough looking faces they weren't selling lollipops. He received many dirty looks from some men and less then decent offers from woman. Of course the little bundle of fur in his hands was making him more noticeable. Vatar had a leash wrapped around his hand and had his war dog Kasai cuddle up against his chest. He didn't want any of these hooligans trying to take her. Plus Kasai already had a habit of running off on adventures.

"I.....I guess. These people will shave and sell my hair." Vatar gave some men who were eyeing him a dirty look and kept on his way behind Malara. He saw some really nice things no matter how badly he wanted to hate the place. The knives and guns on display were very amazing looking. If it were a regular market he wouldve been all over it. Sadly though Malara was right getting lost down here seemed like a bad disaster. His sister was cute, one of these sleaze balls might try to buy her. He needed to be there in to determine whether to kick said person in the face or give them a knee to the stomach.

Kasai wriggled and squirmed in Vatar’s arms. This was a new part of town, filled with strange smells and people. She really wanted to go explore but she was held fast and unable to break free. She could tell that Vatar was upset by something. Oh no. He wasn’t getting rid of her now was he? Kasai wriggled around a bit to lick at Vatar’s face. You couldn’t hate something this cute when it was giving you lots of attention. Her damp nose poked up against Vatar’s cheek, followed by the fur of her muzzle as she nuzzled up against his face.

And then froze solid for a moment before taking off towards a display window.

The leash stopped her, but she wriggled out of the collar to run to a sketchy store with extremely pricey merchandise. It wouldn’t exactly take the Tors very long to figure out why, as she whined and scratched at the window pane. A beautiful white fox pelt five times the size of a normal fox hung within, with the tails hidden from passersby by other merchandise in the window. Kasai constantly whined and yapped, begging for that fox pelt to move, or for someone to let her in.
