Simeon had took his weekly trip to the convience store like always, getting the same snacks and his favorite mixture of all the slushi flavors. Honestly that became like his thing now ever since he found the little corner store on his daily wanderings.

Today he found himself at a Lake. It was nice really nice. Simeon sat at the edge near the water and took a sip from his slushie. It was all calming and really a good way to spend his afternoon so he decided to add this on his weekly spots to visit.

It was peaceful and not much people around and really the only noise was from the animals around. Taking one more sip he then leaned back and laid on the grass looking up at the clouds.

"What a nice day!"

Cat stretched, reaching for the last secure bit of branch. She'd ditched a dorm meeting to come out to the lake where there were fewer people. The meetings were supposed to be mandatory, but as Cat had explained before, she'd never attend one. Too many people. Too many powers to warp. One day of powers training and they'd immediately figured out what she did.

Cat was a danger to her fellow students. She couldn't control her powers. It wasn't bad enough for them to need a bracelet to supress them, so they let Cat roam without one so long as she didn't touch anyone. Because clearly that was possible. She'd already scorched some girl's shoes getting shoved out of the way on the way out.

So now she was suspended on a dead branch overhanging the lake, one hand dipped into the calm reflective surface. With a sickening crack, then a loud high pitched shriek, Cat and the branch plunged deep under water. The dead wood floated back up, however Cat did not.

It was a peaceful afternoon, was. Simeon who had by now was almost about to doze off became quickly alerted as he heard something crack and a girl shrieking? He jumped up on to his feet as he looked over to see something splash into the water only catching a glimpse of what seemed like a person.

He quickly acted removing his shoes and shirt as he saw the wood come back up and within seconds he dove into the lake. He quickly swimmed towards the wood and then went under as he looked for whoever feel into the water.

Simeon spotted her and reached out his hand to grab her by the waist and swim up towards the surface.

He went for land and pulleted the girl out of the water laying her on her back. "Oi! You alright?! If you don't answer in about two seconds I'm going to start CPR!" he shouted at her and lightly tapped her check.

He frowned and put his hand on top of his other and placed them both on top of her chest. "I need a response now!"

If she didn't respond he would then start the CPR process.

Cat coughed, trying to force the initial bit of water in her chest out. She'd managed to not breath in a whole lot of water, but she had swallowed some. The girl used her foot to push away the person pressing down on her chest so she could curl up on her side.

There was a small cut on her shoulder, made visible by a large tear in the fabric of her shirt. Evidently she'd been caught on something, but whatever it was, her shirt was too thin to have stuck when Simeon pulled her out.

Cat focused in keeping her breathing steady, lying in her limp curled up state. It took a few moments to realize that someone had pulled her out of the water, then another few for her to realize that they had touched her without exploding. Trying to breathe turned into staring at Simeon in awe, and that turned into forgetting to breathe at all and coughing up a lung. (figuratively).

Simeon didn't really expect to be pushed back so he was. He scrambled back over to the girl and hovered over her to check if she was okay. "Ah well that can work as a response..."

A sigh of relief is what all came from him as the girl seemed okay so far. He eyed the cut and immediately went over to his bag pulling out some swabs, bandages, and one of his towels. Once back he sat her up and examined the wound more closely. "Just a small cut...nothing to worry about~"

He raised an eyebrow at the girl as he noticed her staring at him. "Oh yes I'm your guardian angel~" He said jokingly as he cleaned the cut on her shoulder.

When she went into a coughing fit, Simeon patted her back. "Just let it all out! You'll be fine"

Guardian... Angel? What was that supposed to be? Guardian meant they were protecting.. If he was her guardian angel why wasn't he there when she first got to the island? If he was her guardian he should have been there.

Except. He wasn't actually her guardian angel, just a good samaritan who pulled her out of the water. It took a while to register that he hadn't been serious when he said that.

Cat pushed herself up and stumbled away from her rescuer, leaning against a tree while the water in her stomach made a desperate attempt to escape as well. Cat knew she wasn't exactly a pretty sight during all this. She wouldn't blame the guy for leaving now and never looking back.

"Aw wait I didn't patch up the wound!" Simeon grabbed all his things and made his way towards the girl to put a bandage on where the cut was.

Once done he eyed her and patted her back. "You'll be alright..umm oh!" going in his bag to grab his shirt he took off before going into the lake, he handed it to her it was probably a bit big for her. "Um here put this on you dry yourself off and don't worry about me getting a cold or anything" he dismissively waved and turned his back to her as he was expecting her to dry off and quickly switch shirts.

"Well um, Can I get a name for the cute girl I just saved? I'm Simeon." he kept his back turned to her as he waited to get the okay for him to turn around.

Cat blinked at the prooffered shirt, not quite sure what do do with it. She looked up as Simeon turned his back and stood there, tilting her head confused. He... Wanted her to wear his shirt? What was wrong with hers?

A slight breeze answered that question. Cat was only just now realizing that her shirt had been cut. "Ah... Okay then." The girl stripped off her ruined and soaked top, hesitantly glancing around before also removing her bra and sliding Simeon's shirt over her head. It was very warm, and smelled like him, it felt kinda like a hug. Wrapping her arms around her chest with her gaze lowered, Cat turned back to Simeon. She spoke in a hushed, bateky audible voice.

"My name... I don't remember my name. I woke up on the island without it. Just... Call me... Cat."

He waited and waited, kinda getting a bit of chill from the breeze as he was still a bit wet and now completely shirtless. Simeon tried to shake some of the water off him like a dog just before he heard Cat speak.

Good, she can speak. It was an honest relief as he turned to face her revealing a smile on his face. "You don't remember huh? So I'll Call you Cat then...glad to save you!" Simeon moved over to Cat and gestured to the bra? And her shirt. "I can carry those in my bag if you want." he figured she wouldn't want to carry wet clothes around until she got home.

Simeon moved a bit closer to her still with a bit of concern. "Hey, I don't know what you was doing but...can you please not hang out on branches near the water? Like I won't be here all the time and this was just by chance." He looked around still not seeing anyone else at the lake causing him to sigh.

"It would be tragic for someone as cute as you to drown." Simeon lowered himself to her level and attempted to pat her head. "Cat I'm glad you're okay so you should cheer up and smile!"

Cat neatly folded her bra into her shirt then neatly draped them over her arm, shaking her head at Simeon. He'd done enough, and it wasn't all that far from the dorms. She spoke agian in her hushed, quet voice.

"I didn't mean to fall. The branch held me yesterday. I don't trust any of the others though. So I guess I won't come back all that often? There's usually a few more people here..."

Cat shrieked and jumped back as Simeon tried to touch her head. She looked like a deer in headlights, arms raised protectively in front. Her voice sounded panicked and strained.

"D-don't touch me. I'll make you light on fire or transform or... Something..."
