He wasn't saying it, but they were both thinking it. She was only 'dancing' as well as she was because she was effectively following someone who actually knew what they were doing. What she was doing was as much dancing as someone following paint by numbers was considered to be making art.

She was definitely not prepared when he asked if she was ready, and it was only several years of sambo that kept her light on her feet enough to react at all. It couldn't be considered graceful, but it was at least a spin, carried mostly by the momentum of the boy's movement. It was the recovery she faltered at - momentum failing quickly with her unpracticed motion.

Anastasia couldn't help herself - she let out a laugh, amused by the idea. She didn't really have any issue with it. What was a name? And if it was any other night, they would have already introduced themselves to each other.

"I think it's safe to say we've never met before. Or if we have, that you're the greatest actor I've ever known." She was almost entirely sure that she'd never met him before. The music was winding down, which meant it would soon be time to part - and probably get a drink, because dancing was exhausting in a way she had hadn't realized before.

"Anastasia Mikhailovna Usenko." She paused, then decided her name didn't mean much to someone who was definitely not Russian. "In the last year of highschool." She wanted to say 'in the first year of college' so badly, but everyone had thought it was better to make her effectively repeat the last year, since Russian high school didn't last as long. "And you are?"

The bow was... alright, the bow was nice, although she thought it was a bit excessive. She didn't think she'd ever been bowed to by anyone, except by her opponent in a formal sambo match. That was formality, this was... well, she supposed it was formality, it was just the type of formality that had died long ago. People didn't bow like that. Not anymore, and she went a little bit pink on the cheeks, glancing around to see if anyone was looking. A few people had given them glances, but no one was really staring.

"My pleasure. It was fun." She knew 'my pleasure' was probably right, although perhaps it should have been 'it was my pleasure'? It felt like she was talking to someone out of a play. The kiss to her knuckles was definitely something out of a play.

"And maybe I'll see you again over the school year." Perhaps they'd share some classes. She gave him a little half-bow, because there was no way she was going to try for a curtsey, and then taking her glass, headed back towards the refreshment table to get herself something to drink, giving Aleron one last glance over her shoulder.
