Violet lugged her backpack into the elevator and punched the button to bring her up to the penthouse. She looked at the spot where Chloe had hidden her sigil in there. "Hey sis, hope your day's going well.
She wasn't entirely expecting to hear an answer, but she got one. Chloe's disembodied voice filled the elevator: "Aside from having to wear the human shape charm, yeah. Plantigrade walking sucks."
"You should have taken my advice and just, gotten good at using your human legs again."
"At no point during physical therapy did that thought cross my mind," Chloe said dryly. "I'm going back to work. Tell Amber I love her for me."
It was Violet's turn to be around for the girls, if they needed her. To ask them how their days went and make sure they weren't going through any crises while Chloe and Malara were busy. Violet had volunteered to do this a couple of times a week. She didn't want the girls to feel like the adults in their life were all abandoning them. At the moment, Dalia was probably still at cheer practice, but Amber would be home soon if she wasn't already here. Violet's first stop would be in the kitchen to get some water heated up for tea. Specifically, she would be making some non-caffeinated herbal tea which she planned to share with Amber. It would be nice to drink something hot, with how cold it was getting outside.
