<div align=center>Hadrian almost straight up giggled, though he forced it back and merely smiled instead. Compliments from Ania meant far more than compliments from anyone else, "really? You're so sweet I can practically see the sugar falling off you." He smiled softly, feeling rather glad for her company, "your hair is the right colour." He purred, bringing a hand up to ruffle it. Hadrian had had a lot of girlfriends in the past, but not one of them had been anything like Ania. Ditsy girls who wanted nothing more than a pretty boyfriend with lots of money, Ania was different though. She was smart, and interesting and above all perfect, and Hadrian craved perfection.

"Are you sure?" He asked, "I can argue with you all day about this, if you like." He didn't really mind at all that he wouldn't be able to stop her, in fact, he was just a little glad that he wouldn't be able to stop her. "Of course I have time to sit with you," he told her, he'd rather spend time with Ania than do anything else anyway, although not that he had anything planned. "I'd like to do that." There was probably somewhere around they could sit that wasn't quite so open.</div>

Her nose wrinkling in mock irritation, Ania shook her head to clear any tangles from being ruffled. Bringing a lock of her hair up to her breast, she combed through it. "It is the colour of sugar, isn't it?" It really did fit, especially since she liked to bake so much. She went through an awful lot of sugar, and it wouldn't be a wonder if she eventually just turned into a sack of sugar. Though, it would be awfully inconvenient if you left a wide trail of sugar in your wake. "Yes. I'm positive. I love you far more." Absolutely determined to win that battle, Ania would not give up, even if it took all day to argue it. She was most excited for that argument, though, because if it started to go badly for her, she could use her super new kissing powers to make him stop talking.

She almost giggled, thinking that would be their first true argument. Regaining herself, she bit her lip, her head turning slowly, trying to search out a decent spot that was secluded enough. Finally, she caught sight of a tree, it's wide branches stretching outwards, the fingers of the twigs grasping blindly at the sky. Pointing at it excitedly, Ania nudged Hadrian, "Look, there's that tree there! That would be a good spot." There was just enough sun and shade to be out of the sun but still in the warmth.

<div align=center>Hadrian nodded, Ania's hair colour did fit her. She looked as sugary sweet as her cupcakes tasted. Thinking about those cupcakes, I could go for one right now. Hadrian frequently wondered why Ania didn't sell her baking, she was so good at it that it seemed like a waste to him. Perhaps she'd open up a bakery one day, he liked the thought of that. Hadrian didn't much mind funding a bakery, that sounded like fun. Hadrian glanced down at her, "alright," he lifted an eyebrow, "you might think you've won, my dear, but when you least expect it I'll pounce on you." He grabbed the girl and pulled her close, peppering kisses over one cheek.

He looked up to where she was pointing, and nodded. That looked like a good spot. He pulled her toward it, it was a pleasant looking spot overlooking a thin, winding little river that ran through the park. There were a pair of ducks sitting on the side, Hadie supposed they'd have babies soon enough. Or maybe they already do. The ground around the tree was dry and grassy, perfect for sitting down on, at least it wasn't all muddy and dusty. "After you," he offered, glancing over to the ducks again. There was movement beneath one of them, and as the creature lifted it's wing, several tiny, fluffy little ducklings waddled out from underneath.</div>

Skipping willingly after her boyfriend, Ania admired the spot they had agreed on. It was definitely a good spot, semi-secluded and with a pretty view of a little river. Her attention was drawn to a pair of ducks perched near the edge, and she admired the little birds, hoping that they weren't aggressive ducks. Her legs folding underneath, Ania quickly adjusted herself on the ground, the top of her skirt ruffling out over her knees. Her arms went back to support her weight, and she crossed her legs at the ankles, her head turning back to look at the ducks.

"Oh-- they've even got babies." A handful of fuzzy mini-birds waddled out from underneath their mother's wing, and began to hunt around for food. "They don't even look real, they look like toys." She didn't think she had ever seen ducklings in person before, and it was especially enchanting to watch them in action. The largest of the group had apparently found a bug of some sort, and was working to rip it out of whatever hole the creature was determined to stay in. Of course, the duckling was far bigger, and quickly won that fight, eating whatever it had found. "Wouldn't it be fun to have a tiny flock of baby ducks to take care of? They're so cute. Though, I think I just love babies in general."

<div align=center>As the ducklings waddled about, they'd make cute little noises every now and then that made Hadrian laugh. They did look like toys, Ania was right. They were like little balls of fluff, rather than birds. He wondered how old they were, they were awfully little. He thought a flock of baby ducks might be a handful, though it couldn't be any harder than a baby tiger. Human babies were another matter entirely, "they're cute til' they can mouth off at you." He laughed softly, he'd never spent much time around babies, he'd been an only child and his only real company had been maids and servants.

"But I guess it's kind of incredible, to think that each little tiny, baby human will grow up to have a life of it's own. Makes me feel weird that I was a baby once." Of course he didn't remember it, not at all. "You were a baby... I bet you were cute." He mused, he didn't think he'd mind having to look after a little baby Ania, that'd be alright. One of the ducklings had waddled close and was staring at them with beady little eyes. "I don't know much about babies, though..." He frowned a little, "I haven't been around them very much."</div>

"It is incredible, isn't it?" Once you took the time to actually think about it, babies were incredible. They literally started from nothing and grew into a full grown person. It almost sounded like some weird scifi movie, a human sprouting out of a fertilized egg. A pink, wrinkly, screaming little human. "No, I bet you were much cuter." Her mother didn't seem to enjoy taking care of her as a child, but Ania couldn't really blame her for not wanting to get stuck with a screaming child when she wasn't in the best of health herself. Well, at least she mostly grew up happy. Sometimes she wished she could have had a sibling, but that probably would have only made her mother even madder.

Staring back at the brave duckling that had come closer, Ania got an idea. Rising up on her knees, Ania straddled Hadrian, her arms wrapping around his neck. "Let's get a baby. You promised me a parrot a while ago." Pressing multiple kisses into his neck, Ania moved closer, settling down gently. "You'll be able to learn quite a bit about babies, then." She wasn't ready for an actual baby, not while she was still in school, anyway. Besides that, it was a little weird to immediately suggest they have their own babies. Animal babies were the perfect solution, and good bonding mediums. "I'd stay over lots more if we got a baby parrot, too."

<div align=center>Hadrian shook his head, "I was an awful child." He pulled Ania close and wrapped both arms around her neck. "I cried a lot." He supposed that was a big change from now, he was more or less robotic with the levels of emotion he showed, the only exception was when in the presence of Ania. She was too cute not to smile at. He supposed the absence of his parents drove him to be such a tearful child, thinking about it now though that was silly. He'd had everything. The absence of parents wouldn't bother him now, not anymore at least. Besides they hadn't completely abandoned him, he got calls or cards at birthdays and Christmas.

A parrot? He remembered now. Wasn't there a pet shop in the town? He thought so. The boy paused for a moment, parrots were noisy. He wondered if there was anything else like that. "You wanna go down to the pet store?" He asked, it was new, he thought. They perhaps didn't only sell your regular animals, either. Hadrian laughed, "maybe I can even get you a phoenix." He smiled, "just like Harry Potter." Although he didn't know much about birds, research wasn't hard to do. He liked the promise of her staying over a lot more often, his house wasn't all that small, it seemed awfully empty when he was on his own, even with Altair around.</div>

Ania's mouth twitched into a smile, trying to picture her Hadrian as a sour child. It wasn't too difficult to picture, he certainly looked like he could throw a tantrum and win.
Shifting her body into a more comfortable position, her hands dropped to rest idly on Hadrian's hips.
"The pet store would be a fun adventure." Pausing, Ania hadn't considered the possibility that she could get a phoenix, or any type of unique magical creature like that. Just the word phoenix made her think high-maintainence.

"A phoenix would be fun, wouldn't it? Do you think they're the cuddly type of bird, like the ones who are happy to perch on you while you do other things? I've always wanted a pet that's happy to just sit on you without doing anything." The usual domestic animals like dogs and cats often don't perch like that, though she still liked them all the same despite that. If that pet store did end up having things like phoenixes, she hoped that they weren't too loud. "I wonder what types of noises they make. Or if they burn you when you pet them, wouldn't that be sad." She did like to pet, it wouldn't be any fun if you had a companion that you couldn't ever play with.

<div align=center>"Alright," Hadrian decided, lifting an eyebrow at her. "I'll get you something. But first you gotta decide what you want, and learn how to look after it." He told her with a firm nod. Of course he'd help, especially if whatever she wanted was going to come and live with him. Maybe it could swap homes every now and then, whatever they were getting. He didn't know anything about phoenixes, he hadn't even known they'd existed until very recently, now he was in Manta Carlos he supposed a lot of things were possible. "I'll help you, though.. Of course I will."

Hadrian wondered that too, the one in Harry Potter was friendly enough, though he supposed that was only CGI. "All I know is that they can't die, can they?" Or at leas they regenerated, that'd be fun to have a pet that couldn't die. He wondered if you'd still have to feed it. That'd be great, to have a pet you never really had to feed.

"Maybe we can go and ask whoever works in the pet store?" He suggested, "I bet they know about it..." He played with a strand of the girl's hair, in an affectionate sort of manner. The prospect of another pet was exciting really, though he didn't do all that much to show it, although perhaps it was the prospect of doing something like that with Ania.</div>

Nodding eagerly, Ania felt a little like a child negotiating to get a pet. Her fingers closed into a fist as she worked to contain her excited energy. "Okay! I bet the pet store would have care packets on their pets, too." Despite only having gone to regular pet stores with dogs, cats, and the like, they usually carried a hefty host of informational packets, books, and knowledgeable staff on the creatures. "I don't think they die, no... But whoever owns the pet store would know, I bet!" It would be a nasty shock, if someone got you a phoenix without realising, and one day it just ... Burst into flames without warning. That would be a fun emergency call.

Unable to contain her glee, Ania threw her hands around her boyfriends neck, kissing him full on the lips as she went. This was going to be the first time that she was getting a pet, and it was definitely an occasion to remember. "Thank you for getting a pet with me, I've never had one before." It was definitely made easier if you had another person to rely on. "Well, if nothing else, we can always abduct a baby duck."
