Sheep in the Dorm

Amara was running across the campus as the sun began to set on the school grounds. She had spent most of her morning doing research into the possible evolution of creature made from a rice cracker and had totally lost track of time. She was in a long sleeved sweater and wore long jeans even though the day was fairly hot. If it weren't for the lab rules she would've worn something lighter. With a serious look on her face, she made her way into her dorm building and through the front lobby room. Sadly people were in her way and the giant Vampire girl scared a few of the smaller creatures as she ran past. Apologising for mid-run she kept on her path.

Amara knew her pet dire wolf, Lichy, was gonna be hungry by this hour, and that without her to give him blood he would just drink all her stash. A small exclaim of sadness came from her mouth as she laments over the fact she would need to get more before the night was through. The last time she went too long without eating she was really aggressive at her volleyball game. The staircase door drew closer and closer to her body, not feeling a bit weary from her long run. The clock above the door read 6:15 and that made her heart sink even lower as she was sure Lichy had grown grumpy by now.

Swinging open the door and running up a single step something small and fluffy hit her bust making her jump a bit and grow a bashful face. She looked down to see a fluffy sheep looking up at her. Amara couldn't help but feel bad as the crash was most likely her fault.

"Ehhh~ I'm sorry I didn't mean to run into you. There is no reason for you to apologise."

Amara bowed a bit as she took a step back down to get a better look at the sheep and bow in regret to her unfortunate victim.

Amara's face was flushed with blood, she was fairly embarrassed by this turn of events. Her dark skin hid the pink her face would've ben and she dismissively waved at the sheep. Despite tackling the sheep she even seemed to scare it. The sheeps stutter reminded her of all the others creatures who got scared from her form. Sometimes Amara cursed her over the top zeal. This was the second person this week she had crashed into at the dorm.

"N-No I swear it wasn't your fault. I should've been more considerate about anyone coming down."

Amara fidgeted with her fingers as she spoke.

"And no form of compensation is necessary. I'm pretty durable, plus your wool eased up the impact."

A small chuckle broke her speech as she continues

"...If you wanted I could take you to dinner, it's the least I could do for yo-"

Amara noticed that at this rate neither of them would concede it was there fault and she wold grow old here apologising. So she puffed up her chest a bit and tried to suppress her bashful face into a more plain one.

"....I mean we could share each others company for dinner....I'm sure mine is gone by now."

Amara looked up past the sheep and into the lit staircase lamenting over the fact that she would definitely have a mess to clean later.

"Oh!, My name is Amara by the way."

She bared a friendly smile, showing off her sharp teeth.

Amara giggled as Ai grew more and more nervous. Her feelings of shyness were starting to quell down now that weirdness of apologies was out of the way. Be that as it may, she still didn't want to scare off the girl so with a puffed up chest she tried her best to appear friendly and forthcoming as she spoke. It was good to hear that the first steps of making a new friend were out of the way. One of her self-help books told her that offering to take people out on social activities was a great way to bond.

Shengxiao? Amara pondered whether that was Chinese or Japanese as she had a rudimentary knowledge of both languages. Before her brain could finish discerning it was already answered by Ai and she was left with an F on her own mental examination. The fact that Ai felt she was rambling was cute to her. Amara knew far too well what rambling sounded like normally because she would devolve into it casually without taking notice. She couldn't count the number of times she's cut someone off in the lab while explaining functions and equations of thermodynamics.

"Oh no, It is quite fine really. Your rambling is very interesting at least. You seem like a fun individual from my opinion."

A small chuckle broke her sentence as she continued to speak.

"Well, I'm more of a liquid girl. See, I drink blood."

Amara showed off her teeth for a few seconds. Her teeth had been changing over the past few months and now all her teeth were sharpened to blood drawing point.

"The cafeteria normally has packs available at this hour so if you aren't squeamish about blood we should be just fine to share a meal. "

Amara tilted her head as she thought about other places that could accommodate them both. Nowhere she could think of that would be serving blood would also serve a good enough vegetarian meal for her partner. Was it rude to insist they eat at the cafeteria? Yes, of course, it was. The fact that she even considered insisting made her feel bad.This was why she didn't keep friends very long. It wasn't like eating at a vegetarian place would kill her....it just wouldn't satiate the hunger in her body. Maybe she could call Simeon? He wasn't adverse to coming to her dorms to help her.

When Amara heard Ai reason why she didn't want to eat at the cafeteria she calmly shook her head in agreement and acceptance. Ai was being very friendly to her given the fact she had bumped into her on the stairs.The least Amara could do is take her feelings into consideration over a simple dinner.

"Well if that is the case I'll eat wherever you want Ai.Plus I'm sure wherever you eat must have good food to make it worth the trip."

Amara adjusted her clothing to make sure she looked decent to walk the streets after running so vigourously. Her attire was still nice and crisp from ironing in the morning, and it wasn't like she wore makeup on normal days like this.

"It'll be fun experiencing something new."

"O-oh of course!"

Amara was shocked at the fact that they were just having a casual conversation in the staircase still. She stepped out of the way for Ai, watching her hop down the steps. It was cute, Ai had a shyness to her that reminded Amara of herself when she was panicked or in an uncomfortable situation. Surprisingly being around someone like that gave her the confidence to feel less shy.

"I can eat human food, for the most part, It just won't really do anything for me in terms of hunger. But it's okay I have blood packs in my dorm, I'm covered in the regard" she said holding the door open for Ai, walking out behind her. It was a lie but she didn't want Ai to worry about her too much. If anything she could just pounce on an unsuspecting Simeon and bite his neck.

"Just lead the way Ai. I'll be fine."
