She lied

Kacey walked back to the lake. She said she wasn’t coming back but she did. "It was all a lie." She said. Kacey sat down on the floor. "I lied and I lied again." She said, shrugging. "Oh well. Can’t fix anything now." She said thinking out loud, she didn't care anymore. They'll just fix themselves. Then Kacey shook her head, she said it but didn't believe it. Things weren't going to fix themselves.

Oooh, lake! Lake, lake, lake! Terra grinned ecstaticly as she dashed towards it. She ran straight into it, not caring that her pants were getting wet. Her eyes wide, she walked straight in up to her knees.

She splashed happily for awhile, getting freezing water in her hair and all over her clothes. Terra didn't need much to entertain herself. Then she noticed someone behind her... who didn't look entertained, or even bored for that matter. She looked... sad.

Terra turned and stepped out of the water. Hmm... my pants are wet. she thought, not really noticing. "Hey, what's up?" she said brightly to the girl sitting down. "Have you been in this lake? It's very... wet. Do you like water? Water is good... to drink... but not this water. This water is dirty. I like fresh water... from a sink." I love sinks...

Kacey watched the girl go into the cold water. She didn't move or anything, just sat there and watched. "Nothing really I was just sitting here." She said dully. Then she stood quiet again for a moment, then finally answered the girl's questions, "No I haven’t been in this lake. It’s freezing I would think, no? Um.....Yes I do like water." She said, she didn’t really notice how odd that question was. She couldn’t even tell because of the mood she was in.

"Hmm... I suppose it is cold. Very cold... but I don't really mind, isn't that weird? Isn't it? I'm pretty weird." Terra leaned down and began ringing the water out of her clothes.

"So, are you okay? You look pretty sad... and it's such a pretty day. Well, every day is pretty. But, what's wrong? Are you sad? You shouldn't be sad. Life's too short to be sad."

Kacey nodded agreeing, "it is quite weird. But I wouldn’t call you weird I think unique would be the word." She said trying to form a smile but couldn’t. "Well I’m secretly pretending not to be mad at someone when I am very much. And it’s only making me act strange around them." She said with a shrugged and looked at the ground when she spoke. Then she lifted her gaze up to the sky, "It is pretty but this place reminds me of someone I don’t want to think about right now." She told the girl.

Terra sat down. "Really? Who are you mad at? If I don't seem like I'm prying... I love listening to people talk..."

She really did... "I'm Terra, by the way."

Kacey smiled a little "I'm Kacey Allen, Ok if you really want to listen to me talk then I’ll tell you. I’m mad at a friend of mine. But I know I shouldn’t be." Kacey said shaking her head slightly. "But I just am."

"Well... if you're mad, you obviously have a reason... so... what is it?" Terra asked. She did want to know, now. "I get mad a ton. At everything. At rocks. Then I smash them." She cocked her head. "Have you ever smashed rocks because you're mad? It helps. A lot."

"Well......I don't think I have ever smashed a rock before.....but I'm mad because well....I know I shouldn't be but....I am because......I didn't think I liked him that much and I do....and...." Kacey didn't know how to put, she just couldn't find the right words.

Terra sighed. "Just spit it out! I really want to know. Start at the beginning, and tell me the whole story! Please?" She picked up a small pebble with her powers. "I'll smash rocks for you, if you want."
