Blowing up a bunch of colorful party balloons, Celeste tossed a few to Ebviony and grinned. "Catch!" she laughed as she watched her daughter move around the living room, dressed for the occasion in one of her little frilly dresses, and help Celeste decorate everything for Shale's birthday. Handing Azure a package of streamers too, Celeste gave him a quick hug before asking the quiet young werewolf to hang them up wherever he wanted.

Watching the two for a moment, Celeste felt a moment of pride and general happiness. She had taken all three in, Ebviony first, then Shale and lastly Azure, on a whim, because they had needed a place to go, stay. She was told they would only be fosters, she was only to be their guardian, but that had not happened. It was not what Celeste had had planned. She had in fact gone out of her way to adopted each child (or in Azure's case... hoping to adopt), and without hesitation. Mainly because she had grown attached to them, found that their presence in her life completed her somehow - to the point now that she could not imagine a life without the three. At first, Celeste had only wanted the best for each of them, knew she could give them what they needed, and also, the thought of her children going with someone else, someone who didn't care or know how to take care of them like she did, tugged at her heartstrings. Now she loved them more than any mother could or would, and found that each day that went by, she was grateful that the fates had sent them her way. The three, Ebviony, Shale and now Azure, were her world and hoped she could make them feel as loved and special as she possibly could.

"Ebviony, Azure.. I am just going to grab the cake and food from the pantry," Celeste said as gestured to a room off to the side she let the others go about decorating, setting the table, getting the house ready for Shale's birthday party.

Ebviony made catching the balloons a game. Every time Celeste tossed them one, they rushed around the room to float out of their hands. There was an art to decorating with balloons, and Ebviony was sure they aced it. Not that they were paying much attention to where the balloons floated. Anything was good as long as they weren't all bundled up together.

When Celeste announced she was going to get the food, Ebviony responded with a silent, but enthusiastic nod. The food was the most exciting part of the party. That, and all the pretty decorations they took part in helping with. It was Shale getting older that soured their mood. Why celebrate someone getting one year closer to adulthood? Now he could do some gross adult stuff. Ebviony wrinkled their nose at the thought. What if he got bored of kids stuff?

Ebviony shook their head, trying to remove the thoughts like one would an Etch A Sketch drawing. With Celeste busy with the food and Ebviony finished with their excellent decorating, they began to follow Azure around. They offered no help knowing streamers would be difficult with their height, and as much as they wanted to help with the food, they still had their worries about Celeste. She showed herself to be a safe person and managed to get them to giggle occasionally. Still, an adult was an adult, and when Ebviony could break out of her charismatic spell, they would find themself giving her wary looks.

Azure didn't really see how this amounted to something that needed to be celebrated. But this wasn't anything unique, this kind of applied to a lot of things... "human things" as he called them. He nodded and smiled slightly when Celeste asked him to help hang the streamers. Of course he'd do it without any question, just quietly getting to work.

He wasn't really as outwardly expressive as the other kids. It probably made it hard to tell what he was thinking. Truthfully, he liked living with them, he just showed it differently. Through actions mostly.

He stepped back once he was finished hanging them. "I guess this looks alright."
