Kon's ears noticeably perked up at improv. Due to the stuff his dad would make him do, he wasn't too much of a fan of acting. Not in specific roles and for others, at least. But the idea if improv sounded fun. To be theatrical and go with the flow. Well, that was why he liked the idea of being an arena commentator.

"A team and improv... I like that! I could play competitive games and get the experience I need that way!" Ideas were running through Konpeitō's head, and Angelo could see it. His colors became brighter, his eyes shinier, and the colors of his hair hopped around like one of those pinball machines.

"The scouting stuff was just a, heh, little idea I had. I mentioned my dad was an information broker. I would help him out here and there, and, well, I sort of miss doing stuff like that. And with my shape-shifting, I was thinking, 'Hey, why not do intelligence work for the scouts?' I would work well with that, yeah? I could do undercover work easily, and I'm great at organizing. I even have some hacking skills."

Man, Kon was easy to read. If everyone was so blatant with their emotions, the world would be a very different place. Easier to see when you're making someone happy. Easier to see when you're hurting someone.

"You would, yeah," Angelo said, a wide grin on his face. "Scouts are always looking for people who can blend in with local populations. Finding sources among the community is often as valuable, if not more so, than finding people to bring back. I'm definitely more on the searching people out side of things, but I'm getting a lot of classes on stuff like that. I think there's definitely a... preconception that scouting involves a ton of fighting, but if you do things right there shouldn't be any real fighting at all."

What Angelo said was not helping Konpeitō restrain his shifting at all. "That sounds great. Even if it's more valuable." If he could, dollar signs would appear in his eyes. "A lack of fighting would be good too. I don't really see myself as a fighter. I've done self-defense before, but that's it. It's not in my nature or interest."

Now a new question popped into his head. "I heard some scouts take on a second job. Isn't the, uh... shit... One of the power teachers a scout? I wonder if I could become a scout and organ donor later on... Oh right, for the record, I'm also an organ donor now. I've been trying to do some more community work lately."

"I would say... to be an investigative scout you need to be able to defend yourself, but yeah, it's not all that much fighting. It's a pretty varied job. Some people are gone almost year round chasing down leads, some only get sent out when something comes up. I'm planning to do the latter, and mostly manage things from the island. My power set means I can easily filter people from the crowd and go into situations without getting caught off guard."

Meaning he's a hell of a lot better at knowing when he needs to call for backup then most.

"Second jobs depend on the kind of scout."

As long as fighting wouldn't be a good majority of the world, Konpeitō could handle it. How varied the job is sounded more like an issue. Kon's hair had stopped changing by now, yet he was still thinking optimistically enough to keep the other changes. Still, his eyebrows furrowed as he thought about this potential complication.

"I'd prefer to do the latter as well. I can see myself having a change of heart and wanting to be out a lot. I've been missing the Narrow Reality recently." Or the idea of it that he had built up all his life. "But, I'm enjoying the life I've built up here. I wouldn't want to leave my friends behind or miss out on events because of my work."

Scheduling would be something he'd address when he signs up to becomes a scout. Considering some scouts could work as a teacher at the same time, he had a good feeling they would be willing to accommodate his second job. Or that his second job would accommodate his scout work. It wasn't like his organs specifically were needed all the time.

"Thank you, Angelo. I really appreciate the advice. This is exactly what I needed. A big, long-term goal to work towards and keep me motivated. I even have a rough guideline of what I should do to get there."
