As Oren began to ask her a question, she immediately began to write on the board. She hadn't been there long, more than a week but no more than a month. It was hard to find peace when political intrigue ruined the very image of peace. And that was only one of the things that disappointed her about the people of today.

"I haven't been here long enough to tell if I have. I've only been here for about two weeks. I have yet to see what is here for me to do."

She held the board right in front of her for a moment for the fae to read it before placing it down on her lap and writing:

"But I trust Father enough to consider that possibility."

The faerie had only been residing on the island for a similar amount of time, "Oh, I'm the same!" The parasite had given off an impression of being here so much longer than she really had. She seemed to know a lot more about the going ons of the place than he did. Then again perhaps she had been around humans far longer than Oren had, in a different civilisation than the one on the island.

"Where did you used to live? " The faerie boy asked, curiously. He wondered if she had some great stories about her past, as she had mentioned that she had seen a lot of things in her life. "And what things have you seen?" He didn't really know when it was appropriate to stop asking questions and so he was about to launch into some more before realising that she had to take the time to write them out and her hand would probably fall off if she tried to keep up with them all.

"I had lived in Russia before. A small town far off from the capital. It was a peaceful life, so to say."

Tamara immediately wrote as the fae shot the first question. She held it in front of her while the boy continued to ask again. She didn't seem to have even noticed the second question until she again brought her board down onto her lap and wrote again.

"Some good things, some bad things. There is a lot to say with over a thousand-year experience on earth."

She didn't want to say them specifically either; she didn't want to discourage the fae from staying with humans, but then she wasn't sure if he was not going to regret leaving home after seeing the things that she had seen for himself.

She again held the board in front of her. The corners of the board were a little less clean than earlier, probably because she had hurriedly cleaned up the surface to immediately follow up with the response to Oren's second query.

"Russia," Oren repeated, a little bit in awe of that fact. If you asked him to place Russia on a map he probably wouldn't be able to, but he knew it was a vast country. It was supposedly one of the largest countries on Earth, if not the largest. "If it was peaceful, why did you leave it? Did your father not like you being there? " He found it strange that one would move to find peace somewhere else, had they already settled in somewhere peaceful.

The fae's jaw dropped down and hung in place for a while when Tamara mentioned that she was over a thousand years old. Sure, he'd live longer than the average human but it was extremely unlikely he'd even live close to half the length that the parasite had already. He wondered if she were one that was truly immortal. He has thousands of questions he wanted to fire at her about the things she'd mentioned, but she didn't appear like she wished to elaborate. It's always worth a try, the poor woman wasn't going to get away that easily. "Like what? Can't you give me some examples? Of the interesting ones at least? " Obviously he didn't want to hear every minute detail of her existence, but after living a thousand years she must have witnessed some exciting things.

Tamara would have smiled in response to the fae's query of her leaving Russia for Manta Carlos. The answer was behind her immortality. The body she was going around with belonged to a dead girl. She was even the one to have declared that the young girl was already dead.

Before transferring to her body, Tamara left a weak rune spell to temporarily disable the girl's body functions. She had to orchestrate her transfer to be convincingly real. The patient dies from complications, then the nurse that had watched over her dies from natural causes. That was not too uncommon, wasn't it?

Of course, who would want to hear that story though? A dead girl walking around. As she thought of all these, she wrote:

"Father doesn't choose for me. I suppose it just has something to do with my being alive for too long than a normal human."

Tamara held the board in front of her as Oren asked her another question, and kept it that way until she thought of her response to it. Remembering one of her past lives, she placed the board back down her lap and wrote:

"Some years ago, I had served under a Queen as a royal knight. I suppose it might not be all that "fun" though..."

'Father doesn't choose for me. I suppose it just has something to do with my being alive for too long than a normal human. Oren wasn't really sure that he was following her story correctly anymore, but maybe she was being vague for a reason. He wanted to press the story of her serving as a royal knight more to find out what that was like, but he was stopped from asking anymore questions by the sound of footsteps coming down the corridor.

The fae glanced at Tamara with a panicked expression, "please help me, I don't want to get any more stupid injections." He frowned, "they won't help me. I'm not sick." Perhaps she could distract the nurses and he could escape, but it was childish of him to imagine that was what would happen considering she'd stopped him from leaving in the first place. But maybe, just maybe, there was a chance she'd be more forgiving now that they'd opened up a bit to each other.

Sorry for taking so long with this reply, I've been really tied up with school work and just real life stuff in general!

[[ it's alright. i understand owo)/ sorry my reply took a while though... shit sorta happened...ahahah... ]]

Tamara looked at the boy with a deadpan expression (as her expression had always been) as he begged for her help. As soon as he mentioned about the injections, she was sure what was going on. This was surely about the disease going on. She herself had a shot, but that was for precaution because a weak runic spell was not going to save her body from decomposing off-schedule because of a virus or something else.

"I know enough that faes do not get ill unless it is a curse. I actually doubt that latter bit though. My years of research should probably be proof enough for them to let you off."

She wrote, holding the board in front of her. Sometimes she wonders if the nurses in the school even know about these. At least she spent her life well by researching on these relevant things.

Oren nearly face palmed right there, of course, what have I been thinking? He'd been trying to think of all these ways to trick them into not giving him his injections when all he needed to do was give them proof that it wouldn't have any effect on him. He'd been too busy trying to come up with a way to try escape out of here instead of a way to make them realise he didn't need the injections.

Then again he was just some kid to them, it was unlikely they would have actually listened to him. Now he had Tamara on his side though, they'd probably listen to her - she was a figure of authority after all. He nodded at her, " thanks. " The nurse began to walk towards him, injections in hand, and he waited nervously for Tamara to talk her out of giving them to him.

Tamara silently nodded at the fae when the nurse stepped through the door, assuring him she would explain for him. Though in her thoughts, she was not quite looking forward to speaking with this particular nurse. Part of her wished it was another nurse. Tamara had seen this woman the day she had applied to be an assistant for the clinic and she was giving her a look. She had probably expected she was incapable.

She walked to the nurse while writing. The nurse stopped in her path when the parasite finally stood in front of her. Tamara held up her board written:

"It has come to my attention that you have been giving this boy medicine? I can assure you he is immune to any worldly illnesses and I think those chemicals you have been giving him is only making his condition bad."

The nurse squinted her eyes at Tamara's board, reading her message. Her nose wrinkled in distaste, telling Tamara she was not having any of this. Tamara wasn't either.

"I don't think you exactly have enough credit to diagnose students, MIss Nagi." the nurse spoke, her chin held high and her eyes looking down at the thousand-year-old parasite standing in front of her.

"I was a licensed nurse in Moscow and a respected doctor in Bourdeaux. I have enough "credit" to make a diagnosis that this fae should not be taking human medicine." Tamara held the board in front of her, her arms extended that the board was at the nurse's face. After giving the nurse enough time to read her retort, she withdrew her board and quickly scribbled down:

"Unless you wish to speak with Doctor Harrington or Doctor Kalinina."

The nurse scoffed at her response. Tamara smirked inwardly. The two doctors never really took her side for no reason, and she was sure enough that they know just as much as she does and would agree with her. After all, she was stating a fact.

Oren had to hide a smirk as the nurse wrinkled up her nose, she was evidently extremely pissed off and for some reason the fae found that funny. Tamara had given a pretty solid argument in his opinion and he was completely confident that he wouldn't need to be given any more injections.

The boy began to edge towards the door, not really caring if the nurse saw him or not. There wasn't much she could do now, and there was no reason she could hold him here against his will because he was not in danger , nor was he a danger to anyone else. The fae slipped past Tamara shooting her a smile, and mouthing a thanks as he did so. Then he disappeared through the door of the infirmary. Tamara had been good to him though, maybe he'd come back here to visit her some day, or even just to get some of those cookies.
