Private Searching In All The Wrong Places

"I....yeah, you're nice to me too," he'd nod, letting her lead him out of the alley. "Uh...yeah, somewhere nicer," a bit of snow was starting to collect on him as light flurries started to come down.

"I think I saw a tea shop on my way in," he'd point in the direction he came in. "Actually....were you following me?" he'd ask, tilting his head.

Already the tea shop was coming into view. "You kinda popped up really quickly," he'd clear his throat. "Which....I actually appreciate....I'm...I was really scared."

He'd lead her to the tea shop, opening the door for her. It warm inside, not that he could feel it. "Lets uh, grab a seat," he'd find the a table, looking down and seeing his fingers were red from the cold.

"Order whatever you want, I'll pay," he'd say with a tiny smile. "So....you destroyed the card," he'd say, finally deciding to bring it up.

Rowan would order hot chocolate, plus letting Mal order whatever she wanted. "You knew who that guy was?" he'd ask, "you said a child of...," he'd try and fail miserably at pronouncing the name of the infamous demon, it came out kinda funny sounding.

"I.....," he'd sigh, "it's ok, probably better that you did." He'd push his hood back, showing that what skin on his face could be seen was a little pink. "The guy did seem kinda shady."

A waitress would deliver their drinks, Rowan pouring a lot of cinnamon in his. "I guess me coming here was...kinda dumb huh?" he'd ask.

He'd take a sip of his drink. "I just....I don't know....theres so much happening....I've been feeling...almost stir crazy just existing."

He'd chuckle. "I suppose so," he'd smile a tiny bit, "should add a little cinnamon, it was always my favorite thing to do." He'd sip his own hot chocolate. "Adds something a little extra to it."

Rowan would look down at his hot chocolate. "So.....uh.....," he'd look at her, "I kinda wonder if you're to good of a friend than I deserve." He'd admit.

"You listen to me complain...you're always nice....even when I'm out doing dumb stuff like this." He'd chuckle.

He'd smile, a tiny bit, tears forming in his eyes. "I'll....I'll try to be more safe," he'd say with a shaky voice, sighing a bit. "I just....I don't know....I just don't know what to do right now."

Rowan didn't feel it as a few stray tears streamed down his face. "I wish I could distract myself....but it's not easy with the voices," he'd say with a bitter chuckle.

The bandaged boy would take a sip of his hot chocolate. He didn't feel the warmth from it, but he knew he needed it.
