Kaya visibly paused for a second as she was told about how this boy was able to switch his gender, which did make Kaya look up from her clipboard and raise an eyebrow. "Well that is a unique ability if I do say so myself..." Pausing a moment to let the kid continue she gave a soft chuckle "Well one thing is the chest area of the shirt would be constricting and VERY uncomfortable. I'd say take my recommendation on that but you might have your own experiences with that."
Then he began to ask about how she would go about making the clothes, though she supposed her initial designs were for more of the male side or the gender pool so she was going to have to ask him to change genders for her at least for a little bit so she could get his female form down so she could make an appealing outfit for him... "Well its easier to say that I weave it out of shadow's, like my own dress for instance." With a quick wave of her hand the formal gown she was wearing transformed into a sports bra and sweat pants almost as fast as one could blink an eye. "With my abilities I can change it from just an absence of light to physicality." Then with another wave they turned into shimmering silk night wear before one last wave of the hand turned it back into the elegant formal dinner gown she had been wearing at the beginning.
"The reason it takes so long is that with Living Shadows which the clothes are made of they tend to latch onto the...well to put it in layman terms, the soul of the being wearing them. This helps to make it as comfortable as possible and in some ways it even prevents harm. I can even strengthen the fibers to withstand light handgun bullet rounds however it wont have the same absorbency of the impact as say a human made ballistic vest. you WILL get a bruise but its better then getting shot clean through in my opinion. I was thinking that only the more...darker ends of the island were going to pick that choice on my roster however. Didn't think you would be the sort to go for that sort of thing."
While Kaya spoke she had walked back over to her desk and put the clipboard down and returned to the boy. "It honestly doesn't take anything out of me other then my creative spirit though. if you wanted something like say....Full Gothic Plate armor now THAT would take several weeks worth of appointments plus a lot of strain on my abilities for I don't have the required experience to make Metal out of the shadows." Before continuing though Kaya paused and looked the boy over. looking back over to the window. She had purposefully put the raised section into more of an alcove to help keep some decency for her customers when she was going to ask for when she was about to do next. Here though she wanted to be on the good side of caution. With a motion like she was closing some curtains a thin veil of shadows enclosed the area. On their side they could see the area beyond as a heavily shadowed corner of reality while anyone looking in would see a dark curtain with a small dark sign saying 'Work In Progress, Please hold'
"Alrighty now here is where it might get uncomfortable for you mortal types. I need you to strip off your shirt so I can mold the base fabric to your skin." She said with a very even and honest tone. Sure she loved seeing the mortal body but this was business and this was a customer not a potential prey where she could sap their life energy through hours of bliss and sweat. Though Kaya internally we smiling like the cat that caught the canary she kept her face impartial and business like. "This will also need to be done for your female form if you want to have it fit properly. This should only take a few minutes and I will understand if you would like to schedule a private session where we can use the back room but my Professionalism will not accept having my clothing to not be exceptional so this must be done."
