Dany was bored to death. How could classes manage to be so boring at a school full of freaks? Yet she digressed, and instead was left to sit in her chair hoping that the class would go faster. The teacher was late to her last class and the students were in a chaos, wondering what to do and enjoying the anarchy of not having an adult around. It was childish, and Dany wanted to stand up and tell them all to behave.

So she did.

Marching to the front of the class, Dany turned to look at her chaotic classmates. "Everybody listen up! The teacher may be late but that's no excuse for your behavior. You guys should take out your homework and work on it or something!"

A kid in the back role rolled his eyes. "The teacher didn't die and make you in charge of the classroom, princess." Dany was furious at the brat and before she knew it she turned into a tiger in front of the whole classroom! The kid immediately paled. He was only a healer and couldn't fight another student, let alone a tiger. The room erupted into more chaos than before, but Dany was too distracted by her animal instincts to notice.

  • Nicodemus had been running late to his class, though it was no problem to him. He didn't care that he hadn't called in that he was going to be late; he had been busy attending to... other affairs.

    However, upon opening the door that was his classroom he was immediately surprised by the scene he had waltzed into. A tiger was in the classroom - a tiger. However, Nicodemus could sense that the creature had the smell of a human on it, and he guessed that it was a shape shifter. If his class roster was of any indication, this was Dany Matthews.

    "Everybody settle down at once," he boomed, his voice steady and calm yet loud like thunder. The vampire gallantly entered the classroom and walked the aisles, approaching the tiger fearlessly. To him, it was a mere pussycat.

    Looking into the eyes of the fearsome feline, he could see the spark of humanity. His calculations had been correct. "Dany Matthews, this is not a zoo. Behave yourselves and learn to stop acting like a child," he insisted, eyes glowering. Though this behavior was entertaining, he had no time to deal with the Headmistress and her complaints.[/list:u]

Dany rolled her eyes at the teacher. Typical teachers, acting like they were so much smarter and better than everyone else. Dany knew better. He was just as lame as any other teacher. And here she was trying to help him! Dany shifted out of her tiger form, but not before giving him a low warning growl. "Whatever you say," she said bitterly. So much for trying to help him out. She wouldn't try that again, not on her life.

Reluctantly, Dany went back to her seat at the back of the classroom and heard some of the kids laughing quietly at her. Her face was bright red from embarrassment.

  • Nicodemus watched the girl settle back into her seat. She was an interesting one. He'd have to keep an eye on her more. But there were more pressing issues at hand and once the classroom fell into a still silence, he stood at the front of the classroom. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm afraid class will be dismissed early this evening due to some... complications."

    He gave a wry smile as the classroom exploded once again into excitement. His students weren't always this rowdy, but the promise of an early release would get any youth in this generation into a rumble. "Class dismissed."[/list:u]

Khaleesi heard that class was dismissed and she waited for all of the other students to leave first. It didn't take long for them to leave since they were excited about their early dismissal.

Once they were all gone, Khaleesi walked up to the front of the classroom where the teacher was. "Why are you such a jerk?" She said, crossing her arms. "I was only trying to help."

  • The students filed out one at a time, and Nicodemus watched them go. The beginning if the school year and they were already so lively. Excellent, excellent indeed.

    But soon enough he found himself being confronted by the young Dany Matthews. This was a danger that he often found himself in, but tried often to avoid - being alone with a student, that is. Being alone with a creature he found so desirable was going to be his downfall one day, that was so certain.

    Blood was his desire, that is. Always.

    But he would not touch this student, and instead he smiled at her graciously. "My apologies if I offended you, Miss Dany, but I wasn't looking to upset you." He smiled wider. "Allow me to teach, and you be the student. That is all."[/list:u]

Dany was mortified. How could a teacher be so rude? Mr. Nicodemus usually wasn't so outspoken, so she was more than a little surprised by his behavior. Dany crossed her arms, not ready to let the subject go.

"Shouldn't you at least be a little grateful? And you're a teacher, you shouldn't show up to class late!" This teacher was more relaxed than the students he was teaching. It wasn't right! Dany wanted to slap him in the face but she was afraid of what he might do.

  • Nicodemus nearly frowned. Nearly. Her behavior was contemptuous, and certainly not appropriate for a young lady. He sighed and crossed his arms, tutting at her.

    "Child, I wouldn't be running your mouth so openly, lest you want a fly to go swarming in." It wasn't meant to be an insult, but hopefully it would get the point across; her behavior was inappropriate.[/list:u]

Dany gasped, and before she realized what she was doing her hand went flying.

She slapped her teacher. Mr. Nicodemus. She had slapped him! Dany could feel her hand stinging and felt her expression fade from an angry one to one of horror.

"I am so, sooooo sorry Mr. Nicodemus! I don't know what I was thinking... I... I... I can't believe I did that." She couldn't believe she did that. Dany touched her own face, looking down at the floor in complete shock.

  • Not even Nicodemus had foreseen the incoming slap. It hardly hurt however, and he didn't even blink. At first he felt a twinge of annoyance, but then after a few moments, he found himself relishing the moment. Dany Matthews was an interesting one, to say the least.

    She looked like she was about to cry, and Nicodemus considered consoling her. "Please, don't fret. I am the one that encouraged you, after all. I shouldn't have. My apologies, Miss Matthews."

    He offered her a smile, hoping she would calm down.[/list:u]
