Ambrose's eyes darkened a bit, and his serious face would sadden at what the girl had said. None of them had asked for this, but that didn't mean it was a bad thing to have. You just had to come to get used to it, that was all. Once you were fully used to it, you were supposed to realize that your powers and abilities were gifts, not curses. They made you special, one of a kind, and while they made you different, being different was never a bad thing. So Ambrose would look at the girl, give what he hoped to be a reassuring smile, and he would begin to talk.

"You're...not wrong. None of us asked to be like this. None of us were wishing at birth that we'd get special powers and be labeled as weird and different. But we got them anyways, and we have to learn to make the best of them, because they're not going away. And we need to learn that they don't make us freaks, or weird, or anything like that. Though people outside of here may think of us like that, we're not there anymore. Here, we're all in the same situation. We're still different from each other, but it's not a bad thing. We're unique, we're special. And don't worry what anyone else says, the only person that can judge you is you." Ambrose would say, hoping that this girl would listen to him. He truly believed in what he said and he hoped the girl would come to believe it, too.

"If it's worth anything, I don't think you're a freak, and I never will. You seem nice, I like talking to you so far...you could just use to take things more in stride."

Keeping a serious face as she stared down the boy that was talking to her, she didn't make a sound. His words were kind and motivational in a way, but at the same time Lucy didn't know what to think. It was quite strange to her, as he was trying to change her mind about her powers and herself. Not wanting to disturb his train of thought, she sat there and listened to his long monologue. As he finished, all she could manage was a very slow nod in his direction. What had said made sense to her, a lot of sense, but at the same time she wasn't one for people trying to change her mind on any subject.

Scowling a bit as he complimented her, it faded away as he said that he enjoyed talking to her. She hadn't even really been nice to him, which confused her as to why he would say such a thing. Giving him an emotionless expression, she uncrossed her arms. "Thanks." She said calmly.

The girl seemed to let him go on his rant, giving him a surprisingly slow nod when he had finished. He wasn't sure she completely agreed with him or not, but it was nice that she had let him go on the tirade and finish it. However, when thrown the half hearted compliment, she simply scowled, it fading as she calmly thanked him. He wasn't exactly sure how to take that. Perhaps she didn't like being complimented, or perhaps she thought he was hitting on her again. He was really failing when it came to watching just what he was saying...

"Yeah... anyways, off of the deep, depressing topic. I just thought of this, but I don't even know your name, and you don't know mine. Come to think of it...I don't know anything about you. My name's Ambrose, by the way." Ambrose would say, hoping this girl would shed some light on herself. Perhaps then he could understand why she had bought into believing she was a freak.

Placing her hands on her lap, she rolled her shoulders back as she started to relax a bit. She wouldn't let her guard down, at least not now as she didn't know the slightest things about the person that was in front of her. As if he had read her mind, she asked what her name was, stating that his was Ambrose. It was a weird sounding name, but then again hers was rather bland and boring. "Lucy." She said staring at him. "What else do you want to know?" Lucy asked grabbing her knees lightly.

So, her name was Lucy. That was a nice, normal name, as opposed to the one he had given here. Speaking of, he probably should explain that. Ambrose was not a normal first name by any standards. "That's a nice name. I know mine's a little weird, but...it's my middle name. My first name is Gabriel, but...it's a long story." Ambrose would say, wondering if Lucy would ask for the story anyways. But, it seemed it was time for her story. Or so he hoped.

"Well, let's start with why you're on this island. If it's not a...painful story, that is. I won't force you to tell it if it is. Next, just a few general things, I guess. Favorite color, favorite food, age, do you have a major, family, significant other, all that jazz." Ambrose would say, hoping she'd answer at least his petty questions. And he loved to get to know things about people, so this would be nice for him.

Gabriel? That was a lot more normal of a name, and she thought it suited him more then his middle name. It seemed like an interesting story but before she could ask he moved straight her to story. "Okay um." She said as he rapid fired question in her direction. When he finally finished, it seemed that his questions weren't all that complex, which made her happy. She wasn't one to talk much, unless she had to. "I came here because I wanted to." She stated before continuing. "Dark blue, BBQ ribs, eighteen, Physical Education, a mother a father and an older brother...." She stopped on the last question, as she wasn't sure how to answer that. There was someone she had a crush on, a big one, but they weren't really, a couple. "And no. Now you?" She thought that she may as well redirect the question, as it saved her time to focus on his answers and not having to make them up.

Ambrose would smile as the girl answered all his questions, each in turn, before turning the questions on him. The only things that really caught his interest were the hesitation when she said she wasn't in a relationship, and that she had come to the island of her own free will. That didn't shed much light, but...it may have been a sore subject, so he'd leave it alone. He didn't need to awaken a past that had been long settled. But, now he had to answer the questions himself.

"Alright, well to start off, i'm here because I got tired of being chased by exorcists in my home town. That's a long story and if you like, i'll explain later. Favorite color is crimson, favorite food is crab, 16, I wanna be an author of some sort... no family left, and no." Ambrose would say, giving off a small, quiet laugh at the last thing he had answered. He wasn't exactly the attractive type. He was dark, he was broody, he wasn't very popular or athletically built. He just wasn't the type to have a girlfriend.

"Any more questions, while we're asking?"

Nodding as he answered all of his own questions quickly and clearly, it seemed that he was a lot better at answering question than she was. Blinking a few times as there was a slight gap of time before he talked again, she though about if there was anything else she wanted to know. She wasn't very good at asking question, but then again she wasn't good at answering them either. [color-=blue]"Favorite drink, fruit.. "She trailed off as those type for questions weren't really all that important. "What do you look from in a person?" It was a good question, at least Lucy thought so.
