Odin smiled a bit, it was probably true that anyone who did say that to her probably died, but Odin wasn't about to die before his time. He was too stubborn to die some people would say. He shook his head as he sighed.

"Well, that might be true. I just think that everyone is out classed by someone, if not me." He said with a small chuckle. He was enjoy his time, even if he was joking around.

"See how far Humanity came is just astounding, it shows that no matter what happens, we can find a way to fuck up something and survive. Humanities instinct is survival. That's what we do." He said looking at Savannah, his eyes met hers for a moment and he moved over to get tea set up again putting the kettle on the hotplate as he filled it with bottled water. It was close enough to what he wanted.

"Watchin' is a good way to learn, though sometimes a good fuckin' hands on works better. Gotta learn it first hand. I wish I could say the same with some of the era's I wanted to know what some things were like, or if the info we have is even fucking useful."

Odin did drive, he had a room on campus in case he was working late since he was an adviser for the theatre group here as well. He worked with a few of the students of the school so it was weird.

Odin actually lived in the residential area in a house he designed himself and took a while to build.

"Tssk. Stubborn boy." She commented giving her hair a brush with the hand.

She stood quietly throughout Odin's speech, her eyes focused on him. "Yes, you are a rather freighting species." She added. The tails drooped to brush the floor.

Her gaze returned to the papers on the desk for a moment longer, it looked as if she was trying to make sense of it all. However Odin's words had drawn her attention away. A half smile crept up.

"Ho? I should have you know I am a walking example of history." She spoke spreading her arms out as if to be point at herself.

"Being a stubborn jackass got me this far in life, why change what isn't broken?"

He said while laughing a bit to himself while waiting for the kettle to boil as he leaned on the wall beside it and looked over at Savannah. She was brushing her hair with her hand and he was stunned for a moment then shook his head.

Trying to get that sight out of his head he checked on the water, rather. Not frantically but almost nervously.

"You know, we get that a lot. Humans are assholes, they should be taken off the face of the earth." he said like some kind of bad stand up comedian. "But they just can't kill us."

She said she was walking example of history.

"Well then, I hope sometime you don't me sitting you down. Over a nice dinner in my study while I... Study everything about you." He then re-evaluated his sentence. ".. To see what I can learn for you to better understand the past. That is."

He caught himself, a little bit flustered he began to make a fresh batch of tea.

She nodded in agreement, in a ideal world that would be the case. However it was exactly like Odin said, humans are "assholes". There is always one person who is not happy with what they have, so they look to improve and better whatever it is. In some cases it's for the good of man, others it's for selfish desires.

Selfishness, a human element that dwells in the commons. It can act as a drive to inspire you do to greater things, other times it turns you into your own worst enemy.

It is wrong to say the millennia old fox was never selfish. Her younger years had many kinds of self centred acts. Only over time did she learn that she didn't need focus on herself. Except she was never without a travelling companion for long, it was a two way pact. She never forced anyone to stay by her side, doing so them many years ago and being caught was a act of heretical worship in mainland Europe.

The world was not so accepting of the supernatural. Witches were burned and false worshippers were made to confession and be hung.

"Despite so I would not wish ill will on humanity, after all the lucky few got to spend their years with me." She spoke proudly of herself, tittering at the end.

Ah! She thought. It was that invitation, of course she was going to attend. Information for dinner was a fair trade.

She smirked. "There is enough of me to write a series of novels." Savannah hopped to the middle of the room and then spun into a stand pose, tails bashed upright.

"A tale of a Japanese fox who leave her home to explore Europe! I have said this before to those before you, but nearly all of them could not write." She struck with promising tone, but it fell off towards the end of her speech.

Odin wasn't wrong with calling a portion of the human race assholes, he was called an ass himself. That was years ago when he was hitting on some girls at a bar when he turned 19. Being Canadian and all. He shook his head and looked out a window.

"I gotta kep that trap of of mine shut." he thought to himself.

Luckily Savannah might have clued into it all. Odin was trying to get to know Savanna better, he wanted to try to get something out of it at least some form of friendship. It was something he wanted, someone who had an understanding of history, and Savannah was it. She had great marks.

Odin was trying to find out what to say next. He wasn't usually at a loss for words.

Very rarely did he find himself at the mercy of trying to find out how to continue a conversation.

Even then, he was only human, what was going to happen? It wasn't like he was in trouble or anything or talking to another teacher, he was just a teacher talking to a student. It helped him try to find out what was going.

"You pick your suiter? That's a new one."

Out of sheer curiosity Odin wanted to ask who the next one was, if it was a class mate or someone else, it wasn't him for sure. Odin was a teacher. Not someone her age.

"Under some circumstances, I would love to sit there and learn everything, but I'd ask only questions that you have answers to. I mean I'd hate to asking to many questions about a few things you may not know. especially europe, i grew up in the west."

She fixed her posture bringing her hands together. "But of course, it would be dangerous of me to stick to anyone I fancy. I have my standards." She explained.

Savannah shifted her weight onto one side, resting on the ball of her foot. "Oh? Part of that learning will happen as of now. I have no ending goal because I no not when this book finishes. I have seen and seen and done many things, not all which I am proud of."

"However..." She began, placing a foot in front of the other. "Watching and interacting with humans has never failed to entertain me after all these long years." A wash of melancholy fell over Savannah, her expression lightened. It was much more than entertainment, she would never admit it though.

"Oh standards, thou art a cold heartless bitch. Wait, why dangerous? You eat peoples very souls? You kill them in there sleep? Though, I'm no stranger to danger. We are best fucking friends." Odin said with a laugh as he began to finish making the tea. He took a few tea bags, but them into the tea kettle and let it sit for a moment as he poured water into it.

"Well, then, this should be a fun little talk." He said out loud, it seemed that was more of an in his head kind of talk than an obvious out of his mouth. He shook his head for a moment as he refilled his cup and Savannah's, just in case she wanted some.

"You really are an odd one Savannah. I like it." he said with a grin on his face as he sat on the front of his desk, almost ignoring his cup of tea. "I mean, what am I going to do with you? Besides strip all the information I can out of you."

He said with his grin.

"Some of the nut job races in here and fucked. Interesting, but totally fucked. Figuring out that most of the mythologies are real. Is one story I will have to take the fucking grave one way or another. Though I prefer peacefully with my other at my bedside. Or strangling me. That one seems a hell of a lot more likely." The strangling bit was said with sarcasm completely as a joke.

Her head rose to face Odin, her rather extreme assumptions made Savannah snicker. She covered her mouth to hide her grin. "You have much to learn about me, boy." She replied, her ears twitching.

"I take no pleasure in breaking my toys, I play with them carefully." Savannah expressed, bringing a tail to her arms. She caressed the tail softly with a sly look. "However I can not promise the well being of one who plans to snatch or misuse what I possess." Her brows knitted together as well as her grip on her tail, she was a possessive creature.

"I am nay a fighter but, I am that of a lover."
It had not happened much but she had taken a few lives of others to protect herself and her companion of the time. The killings were never clean, she is but a animal with predatory instincts.

To say that she was a lover further invokes her fury onto those that harm what she holds most dear. And this is what worries her the most.

She popped out a smile anyway, following his movements with her eyes. "What to do with me?" She repeated almost mockingly. That was clearly an invitation for more, she was not about to waste such a opportunity!

The tail she was holding slipped out her hand. Turning to the desk Savannah approached with a slight sway in her step. She went on her knees, pressing her body against Odin's desk. Her arms were brought up to rest on top of the desk, her head would sit on slender arms. She rolled her head to the side.

"How sweet and honest of you, fool. Is it right to be thinking of the end now? I never understood why humans discuss how their own lives would finish. It could be my blessed ignorance because I do not physically age."

Savannah spoke with curious intent. She had no idea how long she would live to be. Two thousand years? Five thousand? Ten thousand? Endless? The only question she would never discover till it happens.

"Then feel free to teach me, I'm a fast learner when I am not being such a fucking asshole." Odin said, not hiding his grin. He really was enjoying himself in this conversation.

"I see, so humans are just another play toy for you? Oh my delicate heart." He said sarcastically. His eyes rolling at his own last comment. "I'm not a misuse kind of guy. I treat others... fairly."

"Well, lovers are better than fighters." Odin's not big on situations where he had to get his own hands dirty, that was where the models came into play, hold the person down, the sound of metal hitting bone was something... Odd to him.

"Yeah, what am I going to do with you? I mean, I can think of a few things."

He said with a hearty chuckle as he watched the sway of her steps. He was slightly mesmerized as he shook his head as she was on her knees looking up at him. He head on her own arms as he looked away for a moment.

"Well, we can never truly find out how we will die. Only. How we want it to end, but you not physically aging explains a lot." He said after trying to change the topic as he moved one of his hands onto his desk. Which landed on her hand.

"That's... Not my desk is it?" he said after a moment. It was almost instinctive since he was looking away and he moved his hand away slowly.

"Perhaps." she teased. A student who teaches their tutor, what a funny perspective. Again it's begs to question Savannah's choice of being a student in the first place.

Odin's sarcasm came across, she feigned a hurt expression. "Metaphorically speaking of course, I am highly protective of my companions." She gave in response followed but a gentle sigh. Treating others fairly? Savannah wondered whether her previous actions had been fair? She knew that existence proved to be a danger to humans, which was why she would cover herself when travelling with them. If she was revealed they could no longer stay or return from where they came.

But, she would make these outcomes clear before travelling with said companion. They had to agree, many did not. It was a ultimate life changer, a human to venture with a fox spirit from a land so far away.

"A blessing for all young maidens. I may introduced myself to a girl once, then reappear when her wrinkles have shown." She said with mischief. Her tails fluttered.

Savannah rolled her eyes to keep watch of Odin. She failed to notice his hand fall into hers. She blinked.

Just as his hand began to pull away she reached out to hold his hand with her own. "Oh? The famed rhetorical question when surprised?" Her hand was far smaller than his. Hers of youth and feminine quality.
