Sandwich for a meal.

Lisa sighed as she entered the cafeteria. She looked around wondering what to get to eat. She had been enjoying her afternoon nap when she heard her stomach growl. Normally she would have just let it go, but she had accidentally come in contact with some that head enhanced hearing. She could control it but things really close were still loud.

She decided to eat a sandwich for now. She only needed a snack to last her until dinner. She stood in front of the sandwiches pondering which one to take. She did not notice if she was start a line. Sighing she decided on a grilled cheese sandwich.

Lisa smiled looking at her sandwich. It had been quite some since she had eaten this sandwich. She could not help but want to sit down and eat the sandwich. She licked her lips in anticipation. She started to make forward when she heard the some one yell.

She instinctively covered her ears to block out the sound. She had forgotten to put on something to muffle sound just in case some had yelled. She looked down and noticed that her food was now on the ground. She knelt down and started to gather it up.

Lisa finished picking up the ruins of her meal and placed it aside. She knew that she could not eat it. She smiled at the boy doing her best to hide that his talking was really loud to her. She could not help but wonder who someone was able to live with this power. Everything was so much louder. Even the boy's stomach. Why was it growling so loud?

"It's alright, just please do not talk to loud." She was glad that he had offered her a sandwich. She did not want to be in the line she had created only moments before. "I'm having trouble with my hearing right now." She wondered if it was better to risk borrowing his powers. But she couldn't be sure that his ability was worse than than the one she had right now. The only thing that she was sure of was that he had a power.

Lisa smiled at him. It was not his fault at all. It was not like he could know that she was having trouble right now. "It's not your fault. I was being to careless. I'm just that used to be around so many people." She just could not get used to having to be careful where she walked. Back home there were not that many people around her that were gifted, so she did not have to watch her step.

"I'm just not that used to being around so many people like me at once. Back home I made sure to stay clear of others like me." She said as she took another bite of her sandwich. She was afraid that she would meet another person like that man.

She chuckled at him. If it was as simple as being around them she would not have a problem. The issue was she could tell where everyone around was. How many people were in each room. She was not used to such a large density at all. The first day was the worst but it was slightly better now. "I can sense people like us. I can find them locate them and even track them if I want. Well to a limit."

She did not really want to mention the figuring out the powers part and then temporarily borrowing them. Not unless she had to. For now she was going to keep that to herself. "How about you? What can you do?" She finished off her sandwich and smiled. She was full enough to last her until later.

Lisa could not help but smile when she heard what power Marco had, It was perfect. She had to power previously so she did not have to worry about having to go through the first staged of having the new power. She could get rid of the annoying power she had right now.

"How about this. I will tall you my name if you let me see you hand for a second," she said with a smile on her face. She did not want to tell him that she was going to borrow his power for a while. She was not sure how he would react to hearing that so she kept her mouth shut.

Lisa took Marco's had without hesitation and felt the world silence around her. Her hearing quickly returned to normal and she felt the presence the her new power right away. She quickly brought it under control. There was no need to start a fire right now. She smiled and pulled her hand back.

"My name is Lisa. And thanks for solving my problem for me. All the noise is back to normal again," she said smiling.

She shook her head at Marco. She was not going to give that information out that easily. "Now that is a secret." Well she just did not feel like explaining it all to someone who had yet to tell her his name. "Let's say that you tell me your name and maybe then I will tell you."

"I already gave you my name. To bad you were not listening, but I guess I can tell you again fire boy. My name is Lisa Kilroy", Lisa said slightly annoyed. She could not believe he asked her again. A small flame unconsciously appeared in her hand but she willed it away. "Now shall I call you fire boy or will you give me your name?"

Lisa chuckled at his warning. She knew about the dangers of playing with fire. She had quickly learned it the first time she acquired the power. She seriously burned the man that she had acquired the skill from. Of course he had no idea about that.

"You don't need to worry about that. I know how dangerous it is. I just have to get used to controlling it again." She looked around to see a couple students still looking at them. "Plus I did not do it purpose. It just happens sometimes."
