Appearance Description: Sam is by all accounts, an average looking boy. Shaggy light brown hair and dark green eyes, and fair skin make him just another person in the crowd. He often wears blue jeans and light hoodies with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He’s as thin as a rail, although his innate clumsiness keeps him from being particularly swift and agile. He tends to wear lighter colored T-shirts, often in shades of red, light green, or blue. His wolf form on the other hand, is a light chestnut brown with white tufts on his chest and paws. Unlike some species, his wolf is quadrupedal, and not bipedal. In both of his forms, Sam is relatively short, in his human form he stands at around 5’5, his wolf is much smaller than most other wolves.
Personality Description: Sam was originally a bright, joyful, and happy child. However in recent years he’s become withdrawn and introverted. He’s hard to approach and even harder to talk to. Sam by nature of being smaller than a lot of people, is often afraid and wary of others. He’ll likely bolt and wedge himself into a small, dark place rather than confront what it is that scares him. He also exhibits a healthy dislike of loud noises and people. He rarely lets people in close enough to trust them, and his friend groups have suffered because of it. He dislikes shifting due to the uncomfortable feeling, however he tends to shift when startled or afraid.
Species Abilities: Heightened senses: Sam’s hearing is much better than that of the average human and can easily pick up whispers and soft conversations a long way off (50 feet or less). However in louder areas, his hearing can be overwhelmed, causing splitting headaches and mild discomfort.
Werewolf form: He can shift into a quadrupedal wolf at will, however the transformation takes about forty seconds and includes some mild discomfort as his bones need to shift into their required positions. He can shift twice per day without requiring food or energy drinks, but any more than that will cause him to black out before the transformation is complete. Reverting to his human form takes about sixty seconds and more discomfort.

For the most part, Samuel had a happy childhood and loving parents. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Another pack, jealous of how much territory Samuel’s back had, decided that what they wanted could be taken. Their attack was swift and savage, they caught Sam’s pack by surprise. Amidst wholesale slaughter Sam’s father managed to get him away and into the woods to hide. His father promised him he would return, however after several hours, the fighting died down, and no one returned to get Sam. Eventually, scouts of the other pack were sent out to hunt down survivors and Sam fled.
He was on the run for several months, hiding out in forests and back alleys of small towns. During his time running, he began to internalize much more of himself. His instincts, as a way of protecting himself, shut down the human part of his being. He predominantly remained in his wolf form, rarely shifting back to human. It was as a wolf he was stumbled upon by a Manta Carlos recruiter, and as a wolf, he traveled to Manta Carlos, looking for a safe haven.
He frequents the school forest and lurks about the dark places of the school grounds. Sam bolts from everyone that tries to approach him, adamant in his idea that everyone is out to get him, and nowhere, not even Manta Carlos is entirely safe.
