Appearance Description: Saburra has an unnaturally smooth appearance due to him being made entirely of glass. He has bright orange eyes that seem to glow, and hair that has the consistency of pele’s hair. He stands at 5’5” He’s very warm to the touch. His outer layer is smooth and solid, however like glass, can shatter. Underneath his skin, his insides are hot, and his glassy organs are resting in molten glass. Saburra does possess organs, however they’re more akin to heated glass that’s in the process of being blown.
Saburra’s demonic form is still his normal self… from the waist up. His lower half is an obsidian plated scorpion. It’s very clear from the soft spots between his the hardened obsidian, that there is in fact molten glass underneath his exterior.
Personality Description: For the majority of people, Saburra is reasonably friendly and outgoing. Saburra is very fond of art and is friendly towards those who share similar tastes. He spends his free time blowing glass, and sculpting are among his favorite hobbies.
With that being said, Saburra is still a part gluttony and wrath demon. Saburra despises all of his siblings and sees them as worthless lumps of meat that are better off dying. However this is dwarfed in comparison to the pure hatred he feels towards his mother, Nasci. Saburra finds the fact that they’re all doomed to die over short periods of time while she gets to be immortal disgusting. In short he’s more interested in finding and permanently ending her than hunting his other siblings for their lives.
In terms of his base instincts, Saburra is a scorpion, and rather analytical. Again, he has very little interest in actively hunting his siblings. He would only do so if it were absolutely necessary. In spite of his contempt for them, he finds the idea of eating them revolting. Saburra will work with his siblings on common enough goals, under the agreement that if they try anything, he will kill them. While he doesn’t hunt, he will find ways to keep tabs, and of course defend himself if need be.
Active Abilities:
Glass Crafting: Saburra can generate and shape glass via the molten glass that flows underneath his skin. His mouth utilizes molten glass as saliva when eating. In his human form in order to accomplish this, he must crack his skin in order to allow the glass to pool out. As long as it’s connected to him he can control it, shaping it kinetically into whatever he needs/wants it to be. In his demon form, his stinger is capable of injecting people with molten glass. It’s worth noting this ability is effectively a double edged sword. The molten glass he produces doubles as his life blood, and is also what heals him should he get injured. At maximum, he will only use around a pint of molten glass in a single sitting.
Overheat: Saburra is capable of heating parts of his body to roughly 2800 degrees Fahrenheit. Which is the general melting point of glass. His internal temperature is constantly heated to this point and whatever glass makes up his skin and organs seems to be the only thing able to fully resist melting on its own. Even in its “cool” state it is still very warm to the touch. Saburra can only manage to mainain these temperatures for around thirty seconds at a time.
Shifting: Saburra can shift the lower half of his body into an obsidian scorpiotaur form at will.
Passive Abilities:
Physique: In his human form Sabura can lift a half a ton. When in his demon form, this gets bumped up to two tons thanks to the addition of his pincers. These pincers are also capable of snapping a steel beam in half. He is also able to move at 70 mph in short bursts.
Glass eater: Saburra must consume glass, sand and silica based substances for nourishment. Doing so regularly helps him maintain his body temperature at healthy levels. When injured, consuming such substances accelerates his healing processes in direct proportion to how much he eats.
Instincts: Saburra is capable of speaking English, Latin as well as a universal understanding of demonic. When it comes to his siblings Saburra’s danger senses will flare up, if one is within 100 feet of him. This causes him him to be much more wary of his surroundings if they are unseen. He can identify them when they are within visual range by the revolting sensation he gets from their presence. He also has a full understanding of his abilities and their potential capabilities. He has a similar instinctive knowledge of his siblings and how their unique abilities work as well.
Limited lifespan: Saburra was born with ten years, and ate enough siblings when he was born to bring him up to twenty. Should he consume any siblings he’ll gain additional years onto his life. Killing and consuming his mother will grant him full on immortality. He will age like a normal human until he reaches physical maturity. Saburra’s instinctive need to hunt any remaining siblings will become much stronger as his lifespan gets shorter.
Weaknesses:
Holy: The sight and presence of Catholic holy icons will make Saburra uncomfortable. Holy objects used directly against him as weapons/warding devices will cause his skin to crack with minimal effort. Similarly his blood will not harm them in any way. Holy water works like acid on his body. These wounds can be healed, however it requires magic and proportional silica.
Cold: It’s not so much being a scorpion based creature, so much as he needs to maintain high internal temperatures to function and move. When the weather is colder Saburra does need to consume more in order to maintain a healthy temperature. Rapid cooling of course, causes his blood to cool and he’ll effectively become a cracked glass statue.
Shattering: Saburra is prone to shattering, as he is made of glass. He does not do well with blunt force at all, as one would expect of a being made of glass.
Biography: Saburra is one of the twenty-three surviving children of the demon Nasci. He’s only a couple months old, and there’s really not much to say about his life so far. He’s currently taking remedial classes at Starlight Academy and acclimating to the world as a whole.
