Róisín Botany Centre
Traders in floral arrangements, plants, and herbs, mundane and magical.
Traders in floral arrangements, plants, and herbs, mundane and magical.
Location and Description:
Located on the outskirts of uptown Manta Carlos, the Botany Centre comprises two buildings: the shop building (a humble, unpainted structure of wood and brick, with lots of windows) and the greenhouse building. There is also a small garden behind the building, equipped with benches for those that want to relax. A paved path leads to it from the sidewalk, and the area surrounding it is meticulously landscaped with the native flora.
The interior of the shop building is quite crowded, with floral arrangements and displays placed neatly in glass cases and smaller plants for sale arranged on shelves. Each plant is clearly labelled and sorted by species or magical properties. A worn counter separates the working area from the displays. Most of the furniture within the shop appears to be hand-made or recycled, with almost all materials organic.
All in all, the shop is quite rustic and unassuming in appearance, but well-known amongst islanders to provide high quality plants, floral arrangements, and ingredients at a very reasonable price.
Hours:
The Botany Centre is open daily from 9AM to 6PM. The Botany Centre operates during all recognised island holidays, but closes for the eight Celtic holidays.
Employees:
Fionntán Mac’IlleRuaidh is the sole owner and employee of the Botany Centre. Although he runs it well on his own, he is not against the idea of new employees.
