Running away from it all.

Her feet hit the ground almost silently as she ran at full speed around the lake. It was probably her third time around, but she wasn't tiring yet, cheeks barely pink from exercise. Her breath exited her mouth in puffs of steam, leaving little clouds of Nikki behind. Her hair was pulled up into a ponytail, bangs held out of her face by a headband, which in it's turn kept her ears warm.

Perhaps the reason she was still cool was the fact that she wasn't wearing a jacket, and was instead running in a pair of not so warm sweatpants, and a matching not so warm sweatshirt. Her eyes swept in front of her, making sure there was nothing to trip on as she ran, though she had a feeling that in her current state, she would simply go right through it. There was a frozen path of a tear on her cheek as she ran, but she didn't notice, running with all her strength away from all of her pain, and all of her problems. She knew she'd run until she collapsed, and the way things were going, it wouldn't be long until she did. But she kept on running, counting the rhythmic beats of her feet against the frozen ground.

A light chuckle alongside her, Judas keeping up speed with her wild running, though he was simply floating a few inches off the ground.
"You know you'll hurt yourself carrying on like that...Kids these days, haven't you heard of drugs to solve your problems instead of running like maniacs? You should calm down, mon cher."

Nikki grinned at Judas, though the violent, yet fleeting flash in her eyes said that she was anything but amused by his comment. But, always the cheerful one around people, she covered it amazingly. "Ironically, I'm not that much younger than you, and something tells me that this is healthier." her voice was cheerful, and barely showed any signs of the heavy exercise she'd been doing for a long while. "Besides, who says I don't run for fun, huh?" she cocked her head, phasing through a rock that she otherwise would have tripped over. She grinned still, any signs of her pain were invisible, other than the frozen track of a tear on her face. Not that she cared. She almost wanted to start a fight, just for the sake of it, but she didn't.

Judas smiled charmingly .
"I wasn't mentioning maturity in age, but something far more important."
He paused, noticing her use of her powers, and chuckled, all the while still trailing her comfortably off the ground.
"Well, well. How fascinating. Yet I doubt the run is for fun, since you seem to have cried recently. Was it a sob of joy? I don't cry not because of principal but simply because of lack of function."

Nikki glanced at him, and raised an eyebrow. "I don't know if I like the sound of that comment." she remarked calmly, face showing no sign of being insulted, or not being insulted. However, when he approached the subject of her crying, she stopped abruptly. Her eyes turned completely emotionless. "You know, for somebody who just met me, you sure seem to know everything about me." she spoke with no emotion in her voice, and a cold smirk found it's way onto her face. "For instance, you don't even know my name." the smirk disapeared as quickly as it appeared. If he thought she was a small girl that he could make cry, he was badly mistaken. If he tried to push her too far, she'd simply push back.

Judas only chuckled, winking fetchingly and addressing her as one would a child.
"My dear girl, I don't need to know your bra size and blood type to know very well your face is caked with dry tears! Now come, Uncle Judas understands all your problems. For godsakes, I've traveled to Hell and back, I'm sure I can sympathize."

She raised a hand when he stopped talking. Not to hit him, or anything of the sort, just with the hopes to keep him quiet enough so that she could talk. She was nearly seething now, though outwardly, she was as calm as anything. She wouldn't lay a hand on him, mostly because she knew that in her unstable emotional state, she was intangible, though appeared completely solid. Which meant her hand would just go right through him. "First off, I'm not your dear girl. If you're gonna call me anything, call me Nikki. Second," she paused, remaining where she was, removing all the coarse words that were running through her mind, out of her statment. "I don't want your sympathy." her words were cool with resolve, but deep inside, she wasn't so sure about her words. She wanted somebody to care for her. As she regarded him cooly, she cut the idea out of her mind. He didn't strike her as somebody who really cared.
