
Kat squeaked in protest as he grabbed her, not expecting to be tossed over someone's shoulder and carried away from the danger. If anything, she'd expected that she would have to run on her own, but he'd been faster than her anyways. She huffed again as he plopped her back onto the ground, stumbling a little before finding her balance. The yellow eyes hadn't followed them, so she assumed that it hadn't found them worth the chase.
"Well, geez," she grumbled, smoothing out her rumpled hair. "No need to manhandle me." Rude. "Thanks, though, I guess. What's a chokevine?" She'd never heard of that before. Perhaps she should study monsters or something...it sounded like it could be something interesting and worth her time.
