"Miss Forestier?" the young delivery woman asked politely when Celeste opened the front door.
"Yes. That's me," Celeste said as she looked at the woman, noticing her uniform was from a local Manta Carlos delivery company.
"I have a delivery for you," she explained. "Could you please sign here?" she asked as she handed Celeste a clipboard.
Once the form was signed, the delivery girl handed Celeste a bouquet of dark red, almost black, roses and promptly left without saying good day or goodbye.
Frowning slightly at the girl's odd behavior, Celeste just shrugged and went back inside the house. There she placed the flowers in a crystal vase with water and arranged them nicely before placing them on the kitchen table. Noticing then that there was no card attached, she decided and with a smile that they had to be from Roldan.
