The door opened silently, and a bright room is revealed. She had just arrived 5 minutes ago by accident and already Harley felt at home. She looked around. Everything was perfect for her. Two, big beds, a bright bathroom, a window looking at the sea and plenty of space for her to put her stuff. She became so excited she couldn't help but jump up and down. She unpacked her suitcase and her room now contains a CD player, several books, flowerpots and snacks on top of a bedside cabinet. She placed the suitcase under her bed, never to see it again. Harley planted some seeds in the flowerpots and watered them. She then turned on the CD player, picked up her favourite book and turned to the page she was on. She lay on her bed and started reading.

Aletia walked merrily along the halls, her eyes scanning the area, looking for her room number. She had been walking around there for a while now, a silently wished her room was a lot closer than it is. With corridors all looking the same, how was she meant to find her room?

Just when she was thinking about turning back to check if she missed it (although she doubted that theory) Aletia heared something. Stopping in her tracks to listen to the sound, she was able to easily recognise it as music. Her eyes scanning around while her ears were trying to find the music, Aletia's eyes soon stopped on a door where the music was coming from. An energetic smile appeared on her face as she walked forward with a smile.

It seems that my roomate is already in, the 12-year-old thought, opening the door. In there already was a girl who looked to be 17, 18, maybe even 19. Aletia naturally noticed her eyes first before her hair. Hoping to set a good impression of herself, Aletia walked towards the other bed of this bright room smiling before saying,

"Hi, I'm Aletia, and I'm going to be your roomate! I hope we can be friends," she said, sounding cheerful. This was a first for her, and she really wanted to try to make some more friends in the school.

((OOC: Hope you don't mind me coming in...))

((OOC: I don't mind at all))

Harley looked away from her book as she heard a cheerful voice. It came from a girl of about 12 or 13, who looked equally cheerful as she was at the moment. "Hi Aletia," she started. "My name is Harley Bask. It's nice to meet you." She smiled at her, sitting up quickly and dropping her book. "I hope we can be friends too. I never had any friends. Only my twin brother. He was the only person I could ever talk to about anything. Not even my parents would listen after what happened... but I ramble too much. Where are you from?"

She finally took a huge gulp of air and breathed heavily as if she just ran a marathon.

Aletia subconsiously giggled at how hyper Harley was being. She stopped when she heard the part where nobody practically listened to her except her twin brother.

Kinda like me... she thought, before shaking her head of any other thoughts on that. Now wasn't the time for that. Now was the time to make friends in the school.

"Well, I'm Aletia McCulloch, but you pretty much know that already, don't you? Anyway, I'm from the U.S.A. Oh, and I know how you feel about no-one listening to you, my mum and her boyfriend did that all the time to me. Only my little sister, Yunie really listened," Aletia sighed. "And it's gonna be a while before I see her again. What about your twin brother? Still with your parents of here?" Aletia asked, beaming with curiosity.

Harley listened to Aletia's question, and nodded. "Well, he was with my parents five minutes ago. I can teleport, you see. I kinda just ended up here after wishing I could run away. Pretty convenient too because this place just seems perfect for me. I mean, I just started of course, but the headmistress is sooo kind." She stood up and her smile reached her ears. "She said I don't have to start classes now because it's summer, but I can pick whatever I want because of my age... I'm 16 you see. What do you think of this place so far?"

Again, she ran out of breath.

Aletia stared into Harley's eyes, listening carefully to what she had to say. Aletia subconciously gasped twice during her roomate's explanation.

"What? You're only 16? But you look so much older! Ah... it's rude to say that. What I mean is that you're so tall! I'd love to be tall, but the growth spurts have yet to come," taking in another gasp of breath, she continued, "I'm only 12 though, so there is still plenty of time left to grow!" Aletia then looked at Harley in awe.

"You can teleport? That's so cool! All I can do is write in a book an object which'll only be around for about 10 minutes. I would prefer the power of teleportion any day. Better for escaping the wrath of my mum-wait, did you just say that you somhow came here because you wanted to run away?" Aletia's carefree face had turned into that of confusion and curiousity. But surely she had her limit into peeking into other people's past, right?

Clearly not.

((OOC: Argh! I already forgot her age. She's actually 16, not 15.))

Harley listened carefully to Aletia's words while catching her breath. "Well, to be honest, I can't actually teleport very well just yet. It's how I got here. You heard right. I wanted to run away because I feel as if my parents were starting to ignore me. I don't quite understand why. But I don't care either."

She looked around one more time and realised that she did not know her way around the school. "Umm... you don't mind giving me a quick tour, do you? I kind of need to know where everything is."

Aletia listened carefully to Harley's words. Truth be told, Aletia was quite envious at how Harley didn't seem to care if she left her parents who were practically ignoring her, unlike herself, who craved to be givin attention to by those she cared for. But then again, Aletia was, in a way, still a child.

The 12-year-old was soon brought out of her own world when her roommate mentioned a quick tour around the school. Sheepishly, Aletia rubbed the back of her head whilst saying,

"I do have a map, but I don't really know all the way. Maybe travelling aorund would be good for us. I'd rather have someone with me, 'cause it seems more that way," she childishly winked, "Don't you think?"

((Lol, you forgot your character's age... That's kinda funny. |Don't worry, I've edited mine as well. Hey, are you going to go back and answer the Virus Time! thread? I'm worried it's kinda dead...))

The word 'map' got Harley's attention. "Well let's see it then. Maps are always useful. I agree with you. Going with someone is more fun because... well, for all sorts of reasons." In truth, Harley couldn't think of any reasons why going with someone else was more fun, yet it would be rather boring if she went alone.

Aletia grinned, searching through her backpack for the map. She found it quite quickly.

"Here it is!" she said in a loud, happy tone. Offering the map to Harley, she mentioned,

"This here is the map around the school. And yes, I do know I'm stating the obvious but, hey, I can't help it."
