Yes I'm noting down my own shit.

#dealwithit.

February Power Upgrades:

PMs are split up, but: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]

Some of these were given one number of threads by Emy and a second by Kyros, so things are a bit wonky.

Completed Powers:

Angelo Genovese:

After helping so many souls pass on, Angelo has begun to take more reaper like qualities. He is, as far as most abilities and powers are concerned, actually dead. The fact that his heart still beats doesn't change things, because as far as most magic is concerned, he's already got a foot in the grave. Magic and abilities that actually have to be aimed work as normal (such as a fireball), but any ability that works directly on someone will simply not work for Angelo. Abilities that require physical contact will still work, albeit at a diminished capacity. In addition, if anyone actually uses the power on him, he's aware that he's being targeted and the nature of the effect that has passed him by.

James Havoc:

In normal room temperatures, Havoc can easily create small fireballs around the size of a soccer ball, give or take, and can manage up to five at once. He can control flames up to 2,200 °C (4,000 °F), which is the approximate temperature of a blow torch.

Valli Bryndisarson:

Valli's godly grandparent was famed for being so beloved that all swore not to harm him, and while it only emerged as of late, Valli appears to have inherited that trait, even if his mother did not. Only things that actively intent to harm him can, and random accidents simply tend to pass him by. If he fell down the stairs, he'd walk away unharmed, but if someone pushed him down the stairs he'd be in trouble.

To those who can sense death, Valli shows up a bit brighter than the average human, like the opposite of someone with one foot in the grave.

Unfortunately, this doesn't apply at all to his greatest weakness: Mistletoe. If he's even in the same room as mistletoe he's liable to have trouble breathing and break into hives, but if he touches mistletoe it's a guaranteed trip to the hospital. He has an epipen in his desk year round, but carries one with him during the holidays. He's thankful that people have started resorting the plastic mistletoe decorations, because that means he doesn't have to avoid any holiday decorations.

Blows tend to be glancing. Bullets go wide. It's not impossible to hurt him--not by a long shot--but it's the sort of thing you have to work for.

Pending Powers:

Nicolas Thibault:

Nicolas's left arm is a prosthetic, robotic in nature. It works and functions almost identical to a human arm, and has a full human range of motion. It emulates touch, but has a limited sensation of pain. He'll register that his arm should be in pain, but it's not as crippling as pain from the rest of his body, and it's pretty easy to push through it. By nature of being robotic, his arm is as durable as titanium alloy, and will stand up to most damage, although it doesn't provide much of a boost of strength beyond what Nicolas would be getting anyway. It hurts like you're getting hit with metal, but nothing more.

Valli Bryndisarson:

Valli's godly grandparent was famed for being so beloved that all swore not to harm him, and while it only emerged as of late, Valli appears to have inherited that trait, even if his mother did not. Valli simply cannot be hurt, and reality tends to twist around to accommodate this fact. Bullets fired at him miss, even if the shooter is a trained marksman. Guns fired at point blank range tend to explode in strange ways that only hurt the person doing the firing. Just like his godly grandparent, Valli is almost effectively immortal, the world itself simply refusing to allow him to be harmed.

To those who can sense death, Valli would feel like the opposite of a reaper. He's not just alive, he's so alive he practically glowswith life. Those who can see days and causes of death will find a whole lot of nothing when they look at Valli, even though he's not actually immortal.

Unfortunately, this doesn't apply at all to his greatest weakness: Mistletoe. If he's even in the same room as mistletoe he's liable to have trouble breathing and break into hives, but if he touches mistletoe it's a guaranteed trip to the hospital. March / April Power Upgrades:

Originally this was sent in march: [1]
However, since Kyros was on Hiatus, it was resent again in april where discussion happened: [2]

Some of these are duplicates from above. Only first drafts are counted here, or things that were changed.

Completed Powers:

Angelo Genovese:

Angelo is now capable of sensing death. At the moment of death it's like a beacon, and he can feel it happen within a hundred feet. After death, when the soul continues to linger, it's harder to feel--Angelo has to be within fifty feet, at which point he can sense them reliably. While sensing a death, he gets a general idea of the location of the spirit, which isn't always the location of the body--often the body has been moved and the soul lingers, although sometimes the spirit will go along.

This also lets Angelo identify the undead and ghosts, who annoyingly set off his mental radar simply by existing.

0 Thread Addition, assumed to have this power already.

Power Approved and added to app.

James Havoc:

Havoc's primary power is simply pyrokinesis,

etcetc

As a result of the march virus, Havoc finds himself with a second power which he can barely (if that) control. When the cure was administered, Havoc regained his usual pyrokinesis, but the aerokinesis he'd gained as a symptom remained. Currently he's liable to create gusts of air with minimal effort (and often with no effort at all), but he has almost no ability to actually control when they emerge, let alone control the wind itself. Currently, all he can really do is create wind blasts of varying intensity by gesturing with his hands.

Knife:

Knife isn't sure if her knife was the inspiration for the original Gae Buidhe, or if it was inspired by the original Gae Buidhe. She doesn't care to investigate, either.

Once the head of a spear, Gae Buidhe has become a knife, carefully crafted into one not unlike a KA-BAR in design. The blade is around seven inches long, with a five inch handle. The blade itself is a clip point. While the handle shows signs of intricate styling, Knife has buried them under a layer of electrical tape to help her grip.

When dealing with an ordinary human, Gae Buidhe works identically to any other knife, aside from being slightly more durable than the average knife would be. It can still snap, which would require Knife to retrieve the pieces and repair it.

Gae Buidhe's true strength is similar to that of Gae Buidhe of legend. While wounds inflicted by Gae Buidhe can heal, they heal only at a normal human rate. Supernatural or magical healing of any kind would have no effect, and those with healing factors would find them unable to heal any injuries made by the knife, save by waiting a long time.

This also means, if Knife were ever to manage to overpower and kill someone capable of resurrection, that the knife could grant them true death, their souls unable to revive in any manner.

Zveris:

Since Zveris was a cursed wolf, not a born one, his curse could only be passed to one other person. Since he's already passed it, nothing he does will spread it to another human. Even if he bites them, they'll remain as they were.

0 threads total, a non-power.

Power Approved and added to app.

James Havoc:

Havoc's secondary power is aerokinesis, and it closely mimics his pyrokinesis. Havoc is capable of creating gusts of up to 60 mph (enough to knock back an average adult, although not quite enough to send them flying). His finer control is harder to manage, but he's capable of small telekinesis-like feats on light (up to 5lb) objects by carefully manipulating the air around them.

Havoc can also create air, although he cannot tweak the composition. The air is effectively the same as any other breathable air, but it does mean that if he were ever trapped in a place with a limited supply of oxygen, he could continue producing his own to prevent suffocation.

Pending Powers:

Luco Iglesias:

Luco is immune to not just malicious effects, but from all effects from demons. This includes auras and other passive effects, mind control, mind reading, the whole set. This counts both negative, neutral, and even positive effects--demonic healing wouldn't work on him.

Zveris:

Since coming to Manta Carlos, Zveris has come to realize that he has a second power, albeit one that he likely would never have realized out in the mundane world. If Zveris touches someone--specifically someone who is not a completely powerless human--he is capable of tracking them down at a later date. This comes in two varieties. One is short term: It lets Zveris figure out the direction (although not the distance) they're in for the next ten to fifteen minutes (depending on how quickly they're moving). This is good for chasing someone who is trying to escape combat.

The second is more long term. If Zveris lets the connection go dormant, he's capable of maintaining it until the next full moon happens. On the night of the full moon, he loses access to all his existing connections. Assuming a connection is still valid, he's capable of temporarily reactivating the link, which will give him the direction and distance to the target for the next five minutes. Assuming they're not on the far side of the island, it's usually enough to help him find where they were, at which point he can use his normal senses to follow their trail and find them.

Zveris can theoretically hold an infinite number of dormant connections, but in practice it works out to more like five. Past that he ends up with a serious headache that only gets worse the more he tries to hold onto.

October Power Upgrades:

Link to PM Chain

Also claimed Valli's second upgrade (first post) and Havoc's upgrade (second post).

Completed Powers:

Juliet Snow:

While Juliet possesses no powers of her own, since arriving on Manta Carlos she has acquired at least one magic item: A deck of tarot cards. While the cards appear to have not clear use, anyone with the ability to detect magic will detect as much from the cards. When Juliet uses the cards as part of her routine daily draw, she tends to be healthier overall, as if reinvigorated by the cards' effect.

Pending Powers:

Angelo Genovese:

Angelo has the power to see what he refers to as spirits, although he's not quite sure that's the correct term for them. To the majority of people, these spirits are completely invisible, but for Angelo they appear as amorphous floating blobs that seem to have no single solid form. The spirits are not intelligent, and do not have any drives or personalities of their own, doing nothing if not given instructions. They are relatively common, and seem to be more plentiful where there is more signs of human life. In the city there might be several in a single room, while in a forest he'll only see one every so often.

Angelo is capable of controlling them to a limited extent, and primarily uses them to observe. He can instruct a spirit to go elsewhere and then report back, or else check in with them later. The spirits are not tangible, cannot interact with the environment, and can only observe as a human would have. However, since they're invisible and can pass easily through walls, they make the perfect spies. Angelo is capable of having as many watchers as he'd like, and can freely ask questions about what they saw or heard, which they will answer him truthfully. Their ability to retain knowledge seems short, and past a few hours the spirit is likely to have forgotten the original instruction entirely, meaning they have no utility for long term spying. The spirits do not talk, but instead simply pass information directly to Angelo when he is nearby.
