Appearance Description: Rioko has a thin, pale face that looks very youthful. Her honey-colored eyes (which she's actually quite proud of) are complimented by her longish eyelashes. Unfortunately, though, she got her mother's button nose, and her thin lips too - it results in a mildly unbalanced face. Her physique is like that of a gymnasts (which makes sense, because she had gained those muscles by sneaking and climbing around a lot, as a gymnast would), although this sadly extends to her bosom, which isn't at all impressive - she has been called flat-chested by many. Her usual attire consists of seemingly unassuming outfits that are fitting for a young adult such as herself - although she does show an affinity, strangely, for girly tops, especially ones that incorporate lace into their design, paired with simple blue jeans. Every. Time.
Personality Description: Rioko is... Well, Rioko, she's always a surprise. She's forever "joking" about killing people because of little things, mostly pertaining to hurting her current goal. And, hell, it looks like she could - she always has this air about her - a dangerous air. At first glance, it seems she doesn't care much what others think of her - but assuming you can get close to her, you'll find that this isn't really the case, as she really does, at least from a witnesses standpoint. She isn't bothered much by morals, instead doing what she wants, when she wants. That being said, she is also very methodical in her actions, being something of an organization freak (again, because of her experiences). When it comes to social situations, she is shown to be almost socially awkward (though she is merely mimicking behavior from her old classmates), but still can function seemingly as normal. However, now that she has been on the island for a few days, she has observed friendships and relationships alike and is trying to replicate them. Key word "trying".
Powers: All of her powers are derived from her bracelet, which she keeps on her left wrist. It'very hard to take off - made of plain brown string with golden accents. It allows her to move via shadow travel, and also helps her to remain unnoticeable if she desires. However - she has to recharge these powers by leaving the bracelet in the shadows to absorb them - this requires her to take it off and leave it in the darkest place possible, rendering her vulnerable whenever she doesn't have it on her person. In addition to this, she carries a few weapons on her, a nail file being the most common (made of metal and extremely pointy). However, these break easily if used too much, and they use no magic whatsoever on their own.

Biography: Rioko was born to a Chinese businessman and a Canadian artist, and spent the first ten years of her life in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in the north. While she was content to live with her family, she often showed an affinity for weaponry and danger, often venturing to hunt with her father. After about a few years of Rioko displaying this unusual behavior for a seven-year-old, the family grew uneasy and moved her down into a more public area, one that had better therapists than their area. Eventually, when Rio reached thirteen, she met the first boy she would ever like enough to kill for - a classmate by the name of Jay. She never did, of course, kill anyone - she had a couple ideas but they faded quickly.
As time went on, she discovered an ancient-looking bracelet lying around near her house, and assuming it to be lost without chance of return, she took it for herself. Bad mistake - once she had put it on, she began to feel more and more negative, and her violent and in-your-face tendencies began to grow even more pronounced than before. Finally, at the ripe age of fifteen, a freak "accident" left her crush's girlfriend dead, letting Rioko herself make moves on him. Unfortunately, the "accident" wasn't too well orchestrated, and so she almost got caught. Fearing her reputation would be dented and her secret would be out, she fled without explanation down south, down to the U.S, where she had resided for two more years. There, she discovered all the powers her bracelet had given her and fully explored its limits, killing anyone who dared get close to her new object of affection - a boy named Elias.
Finally, after every love interest Elias tried to interact with had "disappeared", he had started to get suspicious, somehow making the connection between these murders and the others up north. Again, Rio fled, until she realized - she needed a place where she could hide from the law - and Elias. So, one day, she asked a scout, coming from Starlight Academy, if she could tag along with him. To her surprise, the scout agreed, and brought her to Manta Carlos, where she now pursues a college education, aiming to be as low-profile as possible... for now....
