They have slightly broader shoulders that are generally slouched now, and narrow hips. More built for speed rather than brute force, they have longer, willowy limbs. Sometimes they adorn a little makeup in the form of eyeliner and nude foundation, but never much beyond that. They have two helix piercings on their left ear and standard piercings on both ears. They prefer a more androgynous appearance, wearing long and loose shirts that cover the shape of their hips. All pants are straight legged and they seem to constantly be wearing some kind of boot, usually leather. Loose button ups are generally worn over their shirts, or a dark colored sweater if they have to wear just a button up. They always have a holster hidden by their shirts for a pistol and a switchblade hidden somewhere on their person. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Rin is more of an action person rather than a speech person. They prefer not to talk very much, only really making light conversation when spoken to first and even then they speak in short sentences that get straight to the point. Unlike their mouth, their mind is always alight with gathering information through observation and understanding those around them from a distance. They find pleasure in more staying on the sidelines, watching everything unfold and even in predicting what may happen next rather than forcing things to happen. However when things go awry, then they will step in and attempt to fix things or get everything back in order. Despite their silent nature, they seem to be much of the protective big sibling type, watching over the younger ones of the gang and helping them out when they get themselves into trouble. They never deny company or a drink, and are more than willing to sit down and listen to anyone and everyone rant about what’s going on in their lives or in their heads.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Still, their silent nature can make them a detatched from other people though not the case. They can be quite unsettling given how silently they approach and how rough and demanding their voice comes out when they finally speak. They are a touch too quick to violence, stepping forward and grabbing someone by the collar should they speak out of line when it comes to them or the youth of the gang or the gang leader Klaus. Otherwise, Rin probably should step in a little more than they do as they just stay off when fights are broken out between members or between people in general since they see it as not part of their problem. Additionally, Rin has gender dysphoria, becoming a little more skittish and nervous when people address them with female pronouns or assume they are female. Usually they do not care what pronouns they are called, but something about female pronouns and being addressed using feminine traits causes them to go into a state of discomfort and minor panic.[/BCOLOR]​

[BCOLOR=transparent]Born to a single mother in Hong Kong, Rin always felt a little… off, compared to their peers. Not only was this because of their Japanese mother and absent father, but of the way they presented themself. They had been on the smaller, scrawnier side of the young men in their school and had always been told to “man up”. Adults would not only give them disapproving looks and scolding words that cut into their heart like it was butter, but the adults would consistently tell them that they were not to behave or be in any way like a female. Females were seen as small and weak like they were, and as someone born biologically male, they were to behave like a ‘true man’. They did not want to be seen this way, and tried to conform to their standards as an obedient child.[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent] [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]They eventually were brought into the military as part of a scholarship to study medicine. It was in the military where they became a field medic. For quite some time they served in the Royal Army Medical Corps, however as a field medic they had to witness some.. Cruel things. Their roles in missions became worse, as they saw more and more horrors of battle. Rin could only stand on the sidelines as their peers would beat people and humiliate the prisoners without any real hint of remorse. When asked what their final straw was to leave, Rin will almost always reply that it was when they saw a fellow soldier shoot a woman who had been struggling to raise a flag. A flag that had been a filthy sheet, but a white one - a sign of surrender.[/BCOLOR]​

[BCOLOR=transparent]What they did from then on is not really spoken about by the child of Namazu. They just attempted to satisfy people’s curiosity by saying they wandered from city to city every lifetime, taking odd jobs and getting more of an education to help take up their time with something more gratifying. It was more in the turn of the century, the year 2000, that they had worked to receive their pilots license to fly a helicopter, having found the technology fascinating as it became more readily available. Though they never had the money to purchase their own helicopter, they found taking the lessons was a satisfying use of their time. Rin always reasoned that since they had so much time in their life, they may as well use it to do something useful or entertaining. And as technology progressed, they seemed to have so much more to do and learn. Even while in the Rosales Gang, they say they’re still learning.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Among their years, they had run into quite a few people who had gone to Manta Carlos. Those who had spoken of the island had always spoke rather highly of it, saying how it offered those not quite human a chance to have a fresh start without restrictions. Rin had always wondered what that would be like. To learn to control that catfish shifting thing - they only ever did it on accident when they had panicked when they visited the ocean because someone had pulled one of those yell shark! pranks. It took forever to get them back into a human form... They headed to the island, only to really return to their cycle of relatively decent jobs and relatively decent housing. [/BCOLOR]​

[BCOLOR=transparent][BCOLOR=transparent]They tell how they joined the Rosales Gang like so; They had gotten off of work at the night shift, though they never tell where they had been working. Someone had been stumbling around in the alleys, bleeding profusely with their hand clasped to the wound. As an ex-medic, Rin says they could not have just left him. The person had begrudgingly accepted Rin’s help in return for their silence on the matter, to which they had agreed. The injured person was never identified by Rin, but the child of Namazu tells of how they spoke of both of their distaste for authority. [/BCOLOR]Rin’s talents and morals must have sparked something in the injured person's mind, as a few days later Rin was approached again by the injured person. A job opportunity - one that would fare far better than their current work. Medic for the Rosales Gang. Rin saw it as not only a source of income, but where they could use their skills for something better than leaving them on the shelf in their mind. Over time, Rin’s experience as a pilot came to light and they will occasionally pilot the gang around as need-be.[/BCOLOR]​
