This clue, he knew what this one was and where to go. Riley had attended November's event and had received the boon which was something he was grateful for. It helped him clear things up with his dead parents and was the initial step of him attempting to finally move on.
So here he was at the graveyard holding flowers and a jar of some gemstones he went out to get. The gemstones was clearly meant for November this was his way of saying thanks.
