Okay this clue was a weird one. Riley wasn't looking for a place but some kind of bird like animal that freaking moos. He also needed to "bring back the downy proof" which he assumed was like a feather of sorts. He went to the forest first because he assumed the animal wouldn't just be roaming around the city all willy nilly.
The only real problem he had was just trying to find a mooing chicken or whatever the heck he was looking for....especially with no powers. He did bring one of those net sticks just in case and a few seeds and other bait he could use like a loaf of bread.
