Appearance Description: Reys is a fluffy adult European Pine Marten, with the odd but seemingly natural addition of bat-like wings sprouting from between her shoulders with a wingspan of 32 inches tip to tip. She’s about 18 inches long, with another 10 inches on her tail. Most of her fur is a warm brown, with a yellowish patch on her chest.
Personality Description: Reys is very calm, very used to interacting with humans. She rarely tries to bite or scratch, is generally okay with being picked up by strangers, and is content to be held for long periods of time.
Species Abilities: The mutated martens have the ability to glide from a high place down lower, however they do not have the ability to keep themselves in flight. As such, their ability to scale surfaces such as wood or painted walls is enhanced.
Biography: Reys is one of the original lab tests done in Afanasy Semenov’s lab. The flying martens were some of the most successful, and he hoped that after several generations they would show signs of developing wings on their own and deviate from the original species. After the mercenary raid upon the lab, a handful of martens escaped into the vents and remained there, living off the last of what remained in the biodome. When Versailles returned to the lab over the holidays, she discovered the last of the martens still alive in the dome. Most of them were ordinary martens and could be released into their natural habitat, however Reys was much too noticeably unnatural.
