Yuki entered the deserted student lounge, sighing. It was nearly midnight, and she still had her mind on her Power Class of the day (this class is optional, but its required for her, for certain reasons). It didn't go well, as always. She didn't seem to improve at all. Instead, she accidentally froze twice as much dummies as before.. that makes it- about 30. And again, it was accidental. For most of them, she was just supposed to freeze an arm or a leg, but she ended up freezing the whole thing.

She shook her head, trying to clear it, as she huffed down on to a sofa by the window. She brought her legs up and sat in a cross-legged position. When will she be able to control her powers? Or at least, improve? She turned and gazed out of the window, absentmindedly touching the glass with a finger, making swirls of frost appear on the glass.

Zachary walked through the hall of the student lounge. He really hadn't spend much time on campus outside of classes and decided that now, when it would be mostly empty, would be the time to go exploring. Despite his desire to avoid a run in with any strangers he wasn't exactly being sneaky, singing as he walked .
"Tsuki ga yoru ni naku,
Mubō ni watashi wa,
akusesu shiyou to shimashita Watashi wa tōboe,

ima koware Shinjitsu o koeta shinjitsu wa,
mirikitekidesu Anata kara watashi wa kono fushigi o ajiwatta,
Watashi wa kono akumu kara mezame saseru tame no hōhō o mitsukeru tame ni eien ni hitori de mayou yo."
He sang in a low, somber, dark tone as he rounded a corner. That was of course until he saw her. On the last note of his song he stopped, seeing a girl tracing lines on the window, he stood and watched, more out of curiosity. She was attractive, though she appeared young it hasn't completely stopped him before from hitting on someone. No matter the case, he waited for her to notice him, trying to figure out how not to startle her since he didn't know if she fired energy blasts or what.

(The moon cries at night, recklessly I tried to reach,
broken now I howl,
The truth beyond the truth is fascinating,
from you i tasted this wonder,
I'll stray alone forever to find a way to awaken from this nightmare
)

Yuki traced upwards, the frost growing rapidly. And as she looked up, she saw something, or rather, someone's reflection on the glass. She jumped slightly, startled, not expecting anyone to be here at this hour. She turned to face the figure sharply. Her ice-blue eyes were wide with surprise, and they met his dark ones.

Just as she thought 'Oh, he scared me, I hope nothing's going to happen', she heard a loud crack from behind her. She turned back again, to look at the window. The previously translucent, light coloured frost had turned opaque, now with a greyish tint to it. She then faced away from the window and ducked- a split second later, there was another loud crack and the glass shattered into tiny little shards, scattering into the room thanks to the wind from outside. Yuki suppressed a yelp, hands over her mouth, eyes tightly closed.

When he heard the glass crack he was on her in an instant, just as the glass broke and showered them, he was leaned over her, shielding her with his body as best he could given the timing.
"Are you alright?" He asked, as a small bloody scratch dripped blood from his cheek onto the floor. He was bring protective, but as he understood it many people tended to misconstrue defensive effort for hostility of some sort and he took that into consideration as he stood up, reaching a hand down to help her. He factored in that she appeared to have been startled by his seemingly sudden appearance.

He looked her over, the front of her now anyway. Her blue eyes, was this the one that Damien had mentioned, the one he had somehow managed to impregnate? No this one didn't have the cat ears. That was good, it meant this one was just breaking windows for some other reason than her life having been ruined.
"Did you do that?" He asked.

When Yuki regained composure and sat back up, her eyes immediately found the bloody little scratch on the young man's cheek. Her eyes widened, her hands still over her mouth. Though it was just a little scratch, it still mattered greatly to her. She had hurt yet another person.

She ignored the young man's hand, not because she was being rude or because she didnt want his help, but because her great sense of guilt had overwhelmed her once more. She had hurt someone again.. she was so weak- she still couldnt control her stupid powers.. useless.. "I-I'm sorry," she managed to stutter out. "A-are you okay? Does it h-hurt? I'm sorry.. I didnt mean to. I was just surprised. I'm sorry." Her brows furrowed in worry, as she finally lifted her eyes from the cut to properly look the young man in the eyes.

He stood up, smiling a bit as he turned away at her question and her worry, momentarily changing just his face so that the cut would heal since it wouldn't in his human form, and then turning back to face her after he had reverted back to normal. For all intents and purposes it would look like he just healed quickly.
"I'm fine, it's nothing but a small cut and it's gone now and it didn't hurt. Are you alright? I've seen powers that break glass before, but I'm not sure what that was. Care to share?" He said, much more interested than worried. It's not like he was going to die from her ability... unless she was summoning silver. He didn't sense any silver though, so he was unafraid. He stood up straight, checking his trench coat for broken glass shards momentarily before looking back to her, a playful gaze directed at her.

When he turned back to face her, Yuki searched his cheek for any signs of blood- none. She sighed softly in relief, assuming he had healing abilities. which was good. She listened as he spoke and squirmed slightly under his gaze, not used to people looking at her much (or rather, people looking with her aware of it).

Instead of looking at him, she looked down at her leggings and brushed away tiny pieces of glass and ice. "Umm.." she began, "It was ice. I mean my ability is supposedly to be able to control ice." The key word there is 'supposedly', she thought.

Zachary looked at the window and then looked at her. It made sense anyway, at least at the very minimum. He didn't know anyone else with cryokinesis. He had once had an ex-lover with pyrokinesis, and he master's pack included a vampire that had managed to fanangle some form of electrokinesis, though his knowledge on any one of them was limited. It was new and he didn't know how it would affect him if she froze him.
"That seems like a pretty rare ability. I'm sorry if I caused you to lose focus, i can take the blame for the window, the people at this school aren't really sure exactly what I'm capable of so they most likely won't question it." He said, trying to comfort her with his words as best as he could. There weren't any other witnesses so as long as no one came in while they were talking about this it wasn't going to be a problem most likely.
"My name is Zachary by the way. What's yours?"

Yuki shook her head. "You can't take the blame," she told him. "It's really alright- the school's used to me breaking stuff. And even though you startled me, I was still supposed to be able to control my powers. Thank you, though." She was really glad and relieved that this incident happened with someone so understanding- a similar incident happened once before and it unfortunately ended up with her being screamed at.

Yuki then finally looked up at him, her light blue eyes meeting his dark ones. "Yuki," she told him, "My name is Yuki."

Zachary looked at her as she spoke. He was listening, but he was also trying to get a bead on her.
"That's nonsense, the part about controlling your powers when startled. I've lost control of mine when I couldn't focus, and I've even heard tale told of the headmistress inadvertently losing control when someone surprised her once. It's okay to not be perfect." He said with a smile. It wasn't that he was berating her, it was the opposite.
He thought about how he could maybe do something to help, and an idea came to mind.
"If you want maybe I can help. I've trained people before, i'm sure we can work on your body and mind and have you confident in your abilities in no time." He offered, honestly willing to train her.
