Violet summoned Arda without giving him any kind of warning first. She had promised to only do this in an emergency.

He would find himself in a bar, with the clock approaching 2AM. There were a lot of demons around - that much would be obvious to even a casual observer. The bar was called "Debasement," and in a past life it had been one of Violet's favorites. It was campy in a way that she found endearing - playing up its darkness and hellishness just tastelessly enough to be in impeccably good taste. Or ,at least, this is what Violet would have said about it. Tonight, it was supposed to have a mellow atmosphere.

A growing number of eyes were watching Violet - especially the patrons next to her, who had gotten out of their seats and backed off to stare at her. She was leaning against the bar, having some trouble staying on her feet.

A quick survey of the room would reveal nobody else causing problems - aside, perhaps, from Violet herself.

Arda was actually just heading home from a bar across town when he suddenly felt a sensation that he hadn't felt in some time. Summoning. It was sudden, but as per his new agreement with his new partner, he knew it was something serious.

It was instantaneous, but he got his bearings quickly. Another bar, demons around looking on, especially now that a shirtless monkey man was in their midst. Things seemed alright? He knew she had settled things with Chloe so it couldn't be her. But someone with noble lineage was bound to have other enemies by virtue of their rank. That said, things seemed calm? The only reason anyone was looking their way was because he'd popped out of thin air.

"Hey... Violet what's going on?" he asked quietly.

Violet looked very drunk. She was struggling to speak to him, but she was determined to say it.

"Arda, someone slipped..." She slurred, then the words seemed to get caught her throat.

"I think they're okay." The man who said this was wearing sunglasses, despite the dim lighting. He had bluish skin and a pair of horns that both stuck out of the right side of his head, with a pair of filed-down stubs on the left side. "That girl who slipped and fell earlier? She's fine. You didn't have to call anyone for her."

As this guy continued to speak, Violet was becoming visibly upset. "No, that's... Not..."

"Does she always get like this when she's drunk?"

Well this was already shaping up to clearly be less than an ideal situation. Definitely qualified as an emergency for sure. Violet definitely wasn't drunk, but she was suffering the effects of something potent. Besides, as far as he knew Violet carried herself responsibly when she did go out.

"Yeah, I can see tha-" he was about to say something cheeky but reassuring before whisking her out of the bar to ride out the effects of whatever this was. Unfortunately someone spoke up.

And then now there were two Ardas. One to stick by Violet, and one to deal with this new guy. He was way too friendly about that. Kinda suspicious as far as he was concerned.

"Do you always get in people's business when someone calls a friend to pick em up from the bar?" Arda 2 said to the suspicious new guy.

"Let's get you outta here..." the other Arda said to Violet. "Get you somewhere quiet so you can sleep this off..."

Violet clung close to the nearest Arda, letting those two handle the situation. She was losing the will to do much else.

"I'm not... look, before you showed up she was acting like she was having a bad trip on something, and I wanted to help her calm down, ok? Chill." He put his hands up and started backing off.

"A bad trip?" A new voice - a red-skinned woman. She had a spade tail and a dark cloth mask that obscured the entire top half of her face. It was unclear how or if she was able to see anything. "Smells like bullshit to me."

Now uneven horns guy was getting defensive. "Are you two implying something?"

"That you should just quit," the Arda that was with Violet said as he began to carry her out of the bar. The other Arda stood shaking his head before he followed himself out. He opted out of giving either people who'd hopped in any regards as he did so.

Part of him was counting on the fact that he was an arena fighter to keep anyone from attempting anything stupid. Someone there probably recognized him. "Sheesh what a mess," he grumbled under his breath as he headed out.

The other bar patrons backed off from Violet and the Ardas as they made their way to the exit. The exit led out to a stairwell, which would bring them all up to street level if they climbed it.

She started muttering something to her closest Arda that didn't come out entirely comprehensible. For a moment after they had gotten past the stairs, she almost seemed to have fallen asleep completely.
Then she woke up and stopped in her tracks, just staring at Arda with an almost expectant look.

Arda was tense still, leaving the bar, and heading up to street level. One of him kept an eye on Violet, the other keeping his eyes peeled for anyone else coming. Eventually that Arda split into two smaller versions of himself for that purpose. His next step was figuring out if his house or hers was closest. Or it would have been if Violet hadn't stopped dead in her tracks, looking at him like she was waiting for him to say something.

He knew whatever she was drugged with was magical in nature. A place like this, of course it was. The average slimebag would have to consider the various physiologies for their victims. His gut was telling him this was some sort of mind control drug. He had to be carful how he approached this.

"Hey, what's wrong? We need to get you somewhere safe so you can work this out of your system," he put a hand on her shoulder as he said this. His face was calm, reassuring, his tail in stark contrast was swaying, betraying his nervousness.

Gradually, Violet's features started to soften, and she seemed to relax into a dreamy state. "Whatever you like, Arda." She gave him a warm, blissed-out smile, which wasn't likely to be leaving her face anytime soon.

She wasn't speaking or acting much like herself.

Meanwhile, the woman from earlier was coming outside. The two lookout Ardas might notice her turning her head toward all the commotion out here, then frowning and tapping away at something on her phone. With no visible eyes, it was hard to say where her attention lay.
