Michael layed on the cool wood of the dock, his legs over the side and his bare feet just skimming the water. A big, bright moon glowed above him and he felt he could see every star on this clear night. He sang a little tune in his head, much to the annoyance of his other half, but Michael easily blocked out the grumbling and sighed, enjoying the cool night.
He'd taken a small vacation from the Academy, and was glad to be back, it was far more relaxing here than in any city. He listened to the soothing sound of the waves lapping the beach and the calls of various birds as they flew over the water and started to drift asleep.

Klay watched the last figures slink into their houses. Now was the time. She hated this time. Every full moon... And the next one would be worse. Her skin... was black as night... But her hair was white as the newly fallen snow back at the academy. She had no want for anyone to see her like this. Her wings were outspread, and she had no mask. No one would regonize her without it.
Sighing, Klay stepped onto the deck. Untill she spotted someone who had looked as if they were going to fall into the water. She stepped silently to them and look ed down at them, poking him with the edge of her shoe.

Michael mumbled sleepily as something touched him. He sighed and opened his eyes. For a few moments they stared blankly above him, then moved to the figureto his right. He stiffened. In front of the moon all he could see was the dark silhouette of the figure. Long, dark wings stretched out from either side of the shadow, and he could see white hair shimmering in teh soft moonlight. He shuffled a bit to the side, eager to get away from the foot beside him. As he continued to look up at teh creature he begain summoning shadows, just in case whatever it was attacked. He took a short breath then said quietly. "Hello?"

Klay stepped back, realizing that the boy was not dead/ out cold. She didn't want to use her powers against his, so she just watched him. Even showing what she really looked like, using her voice might go against her. She just held up a hand and waved. She had seen many people do this, thoguh her's was just a straight as theirs.

Michael slowly relaxed and watched as the girl waved at him. It was a strange that she waved, but didn't speak. He let his hold of the shadows loosen, but kept them close. He slowly stood. "Hello," he said again, wishing she would say something. "Um...who are you?" He didn't want to say too much, as he wasn't sure who(or even exactly what ) he was talking to.

Klay shook her head, unwillingy to speak or give her name. Hey, she did happen to be a trained ninja, and any information of hers given out was a bad idea. Especially to her enemies. Not that she had any, but then agian...
She looked down.

Michael frowned as he realized the girl wouldn't talk to him. He could tell it was a girl now that he saw her face to face. Her shining white hair stood out brilliantly from her dark skin. He glanced around, wondering why she wouldn't talk, then if she might be mute, and then if it would be rude to ask. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Um...so. You talk?" He paused, realizing that if the answer was no then his question wasn't going to be much help. He shook his head at his own stupidity but continued to wait, wondering if she would answer.

"Sometimes."
Klay said as softly as she could, keeping her eyes low. She didn't mean to sound "mute" or "shy". Humans... Why do they pry so much. She hardly even knew what mute meant!

Michael blinked in surprise, then smiled. "Ok. Well, hi, I'm Michael." He glanced around, then said, "I just got here today, you a student at the Academy?" He wondered if he was asking too many questions, but as the girl in front of him wasn't talking much, he wasn't sure what to do.

Klay nodded then looked up at him. From what she could see, he looked very nice. At least, he looked that way. She hoped he wouldn't ask a hurtful question, one that brought up to many memories.
