Private Reflecting

Most were taken back when he mentioned who his mother was, but not this man. Then again, it seems he had been around the block a time or two. He had more than likely seen and met similar to Stefan several times over.

"Yea...good ole mom. You've likely met the Valkyries I've been around and trained under too. They are basically like big sisters to me though. Constantly teasing. "

Stefan chuckled a little as he ran a hand through his blonde hair. His tone of voice was more matter of fact than thinking he was some big shot. He figured Alt knew a good bit more than Stefan did.

Stefan's icy blue eyes widened behind his mirrored lenses and then quickly returned to normal. 'They were somewhat disappointing.' He quickly regained his composure. Though his mind still lingered on the comments.

What had this man seen that made him disappointed in the Valkyries? They were considered some of the fiercest warriors in all the realms.

"Really? What circumstances did you meet them under?"

Stefan was poking and prodding a little more now. As he stated, the Valkyries were basically his sisters and he got defensive over his family.

Stefan blinked his eyes a few times in disbelief, glad for his mirrored lenses for multiple reasons at the moment. He quickly regained his composure.

"Wait...seriously?"

He had never heard of anything like this. Someone willingly challenging the gods, fighting Valkyries, and seemingly easily beating them. Surely this was some tall tale.

Stefan reached back in his mind to try to pull any detail of stories, bed time tales, or training that may have eluded to this. If this had gone down how Alt described the Valkyries would have taught him these things.

He gave off a vibe that he was completely serious. Could be good acting, could be true. But a Stefan didn't get the feeling he was telling a tale.

"You've gotta be pretty powerful then."

His mind was racing, stitching stories together of the past. He had been taught that even in defeat, there was victory in knowledge. There very likely was truth to his words, but with how tales went from his culture, nothing was directly said. Everything was meant to be thought over and came to one's own conclusion.

Stefan shifted his weight from one leg to the other as Alt told him what he was known as. One corner of his lips curled up into a lopsided grin, almost mockingly.

"I feel like today would be a mouthful to go around telling people.

A shall chuckle came out as he thought about a few of the gods that did that. Introduce themselves with name, title, and all the bells and whistles.
