I had a little encounter with a stairwell wall today. she said with a small grin.

She stood up and walked across the room picking through a few magazines on a table, nothing of interest she grabbed a book entitled Your Powers and You. by an author with an unpronouncible name.

So, what're your powers?

Before, Felix had been proud of his ability, but comaprison with other pupils had left him feeling somewhat cheated.

Elatrion looked at the floor when he asked her about her powers. She hated her powers.
My powers...are more of a curse and less of a gift. I create illusions. Horrific illusions that would drive anyone insane. And the worst part is...I can't control them.
That was the first time she had told anyone but her sister about her powers. Maybe she was going a little over board with this "socializing" stuff...but I mean what can you expect from a girl that's never had a friend.

Felix felt guilty for bringing up the subject.
"So, when's the nurse actually going to come see us, anyway? I'm still hurting, and you don't seem to feel better, either."

It's not a big deal as long as it doesn't swell too bad.
She walked back over and sat down, scowling as two nurses walked right past them talking about a "handsome new doctor"
lovely, absolutely lovely. Have they no shame? Gossiping while on duty. Tsk tsk. she thought to herself and figeted in her seat a little. Hospitols made her uneasy.
So, did you suceed in making that kid stop smoking?

What was worst was that Felix didn't even know his name, so he couldn't ask if she knew.
"Maybe I should get someone over. No-one seems to be coming..."

Just practice your fighting, you'll get him next time. Maybe meet some particularly strong animals, my sister can talk to animals also...although I don't think she has any fighting partners in them, practice some form of martial arts. That's what I have to do, I never use my powers on anyone...voluntarily that is.
She answered his second remark with another shrug.
They're normies. They'll keep use "freaks" waiting as long as they can, you can say something but I don't know if it'll help.

She looked in the window to the doctors office, he was reclining in a chair reading "Entertainment Weekly" a very "manly" choice in magazines.

Unarmed combat was never something Felix had even considered learning, let alone tried.
"Are you sure I couldn't just keep my distance and-"
Then Felix realised his powers weren't going to be any use. Not just against the kid, but against anyone.
He sighed.
"It doesn't matter. I'll figure it out."

Sometimes powers could be so confusing. Well, life could be confusing.
So you really plan on fighting him again? That kid I mean, 'cause it looks like you got beat up pretty bad this time.
Stupid guys, all they ever do is fight. Maybe if they get the snot beaten out of them they'll figure it out that it doesn't have to be all brawn
