So far, on the roof, a race has started. Chris formed wings to fly to the lake, but James grabbed on to his legs. This is causing them both to fall.

James lets go of Chris, and runs as fast as he could. He reaches the lake and dives in underwater, waiting for Chris.

Chris landed at the side of the lake, letting his wings fold in.
"That counts as cheating, you know. If you hadn't done that, I'd have beaten you by a mile!"

James emerged, pondering how Chris managed to spot him hiding underwater. "Well having wings in the first place is surely cheating" he jokingly said.

"But that was my power! You could have used your acrobatics to get here just as fast, couldn't you?"

"I did. I used them to jump and reach your legs." James said, worried and unsure if he and Chris could be friends for much longer.

"Hm...I never thought of that. Sorry."
Chris realised he was getting a bit aggressive...

"Maybe I should be sorry. I shouldn't have tried to slow you down like that." James said in a sad tone. He suddenly has a feeling of guilt. Maybe Chris was right: maybe grabbing someone during their flight to win. He tried to change the subject by saying "Say, I'm in need of a roommate and I forgot to ask you if you're available."

"Um...sorry. I've got a roomie, but I haven't actually seen him for a few days. It's really weird, actually."

James, a little disappointed, moaned to himself quietly. Suddenly, he has nothing to talk about at the moment, so he just stood there and admired the scenery. He could finally see that the lake was somewhere in a forest, and he is unable to see the academy from where he is.

"Let me guess. You don't know where you are?"
I guess that explains why he grabbed me - he didn't actually know where he was going! Chris thought.
