Down below people and creatures scurried the grounds like lost ants, some moving with purpose whilst others just took up space on pointless walks. The young mid teens lips were tightened into a scowl as he watched the flitting masses. He wasn't certain whether he was happy to be at this academy or not. Of course it was great to be away from his uncle, that good for nothing low life, but now he was stuck here. He had no idea of the lay of the land which may have filled others with a sense of exploration but it just made the white haired lad feel more anxious. His icy gaze moved down to the small pebble he had picked up on his walk across the rooftop, the skin on his fingertips going white as blood failed to feed them. It seemed that people enjoyed dumping him places where they no longer had to think of him. With a frustrated flick of his wrist the teen sent the small stone hurtling from the rooftop and plummeting towards the earth far below. He lost sight of it almost immediately though the startled yelp from directly below told him that he had been lucky enough to hit one of the idiots.

His scowl lightened slightly with amusement as he lowered himself to sit upon the ledge of the roof, leaning forth slightly to peer down at his victim whom was walking away rubbing their head in confusion. Ha! They probably deserved that. The untied laces of his boots hung hazardously in the void, black jeans tucked messily into the top of his boots. He wore an ill fitting dark hood shirt to protect himself from the cold, the only colour in his outfit being the white snake embroided upon his back. He wasn't one for colours or any outfit that would get him noticed. His gaze shifted across the school yard, trying to mentally map what he could see for any future need. He might just need to know his path when he made a break for his freedom. The breeze running over the high buildings peek pulled at his unruly hair, whipping it across his eyes though the teen ignored the stinging. He was alone up here with only his thoughts for company, the voices below washed away by the breeze. He could almost feel at ease.

Iridian felt a quick pain on her head, and reacted the only way she could, letting out a small yelp, and putting her hand on her black hair, rubbing it and walking off, wondering where it had come from. Hmm. She'd show them. Throwing stones was dangerous. "Rude," she muttered to herself, "You can't even walk across the courtyard anymore." It had come from above her. Well. She'd just have to find someone by a window. Looking up, she noticed a boy on the roof. Because that didn't have consequences at all.

She wasn't going to be able to do anything from down there. She wanted to give him a piece of her mind. Perhaps somebody else would go up there for her. Iridian did not want to fall to her death. Even if she was friends with more dead people than living, she knew she had a good few years yet, and she wasn't going to be irresponsible asking someone not to throw stones. How did they even have stones on the roof anyway? Probably had a stash, and aimed for anyone and everyone. Once again, plain rude.

She had to get up there somehow. Making her way into the building and as high up as she could get. An open window... the tower, perhaps. Yeah, that sounded like a plan. She made her way to the tower, climbing up before looking out the window. That was a big drop. Taking a deep breath, she opened the window and placed one foot on the ledge. Then the other. With slow, careful steps, she made her way towards the other person on the roof. "You threw a stone at me," she stated. There was no point in trying to sound angry. It would probably fail. Instead, she sounded calm, collected, with a serious expression on her face. She didn't care what he was doing, she was pretty annoyed that she couldn't even go for a walk. "Are you going to apologise?" She would have crossed her arms, but she was concentrating on staying balanced, wondering how he was so at ease on the high roof.

The teens attention had strayed from the swarming people and creatures far below him, his gaze drifting to the dome above him which was a saddening gray canvas. Markus wasn't a bright person but he preferred warm sunny days that fed his body pleasant vitamins over the dull or rainy days. They made his body feel heavy and lethargic and his mind quickly followed suit. The soft breeze that was momentarily pleasant when the teen had first climbed onto the roof had now gained a chilling bite. Markus shoved his hands deep into the front pocket of his jumper, attempting to regain feeling in his frozen fingers. He was quite enjoying his time alone until he suddenly felt uneasy, like his peaceful bubble had been disturbed.

A voice broke the silence causing the teen to tense slightly, his torso wavering slightly as though he was going to loose balance but he remained comfortably seated. His head turned in the direction of his unwelcome company, pale eyes shadowed by his hood though his glare could probably be felt through a steel wall. "I didn't throw anything at you, I just threw the rock." His voice was low, as though he didn't particularly care if she heard his response or not. It wasn't like he had welcomed her up here so he didn't need to act welcoming toward her though he had to admit he cautious movements were somewhat amusing. Was she scared of falling? Or was it the death that resulted from the falling? If she was so scared then why the hell did she come up here?

Markus nearly scoffed as she almost demanded an apology. He hadn't apologized for anything in years and he wasn't about to start now. "Don't flatter yourself" He would have walked away had they been on flat land though he couldn't look away from her balancing act, silently cheering for something 'amusing' to happen.

OOC: I'm sorry, he's a jerk >> Nothing personal xD

Iridian was not one to be violent. She mentally yelled, but instead replied, "Still hurt. It's dangerous up here anyway." She didn't like the look she was receiving. It was cold and angry. Reminded her of a rampaging spirit. Something she tried to avoid. "And apologies are good manners, not flattery." Why were some people so impolite? She couldn't understand it.

A gust of wind blew past, causing Iridian to be pushed backwards and grab a roof tile to keep up there. "Stupid nature," she thought to herself. Taking a deep breath, not saying any more for the moment. Looking at the boy, she noticed he was pale, and wore black. Was there any colour in his outfit? She supposed not. Upon realising she was staring, she moved her gaze to the courtyard below. It was a good view, despite the fact it was a good way down. She supposed it was a lot quieter up here than it was down there. Why didn't he just go to the library if he wanted quiet though? After all, there was a silence rule.

Instead of questioning his actions, she began to question her own. They were probably around the same height, but he was most likely a lot stronger than her if things got violent. That, and less tense. Though he'd tensed when she'd arrived. Perhaps she was very quiet. Perhaps she'd taken the wrong approach. She remembered that first impressions were important. But he had threw a stone, even if he hadn't been aiming for her. If that was true, wouldn't he be sorry?

((OoC: It's okay.))
