Agnés could feel her stomach already stitching itself back together. It her it felt as if a snake was finding its way into her body cavity and nesting there for the forseeable future. She felt ill as it twisted and turned trying to find the proper arrangement. Slowly she managed to find her way to her feet as she felt the hole in her side start to close.
Her legs felt like they could give out at any moment, but carefully she managed to land one step after another. To her all of the sounds around her were simply white noise as Konishi's words once more played in her ears. 'This is my boyfriend, Félix.' Surly Konishi had been insane, who else would have done such things to her. But at the same time, she wondered how much of her insanity was based in fact, and how much in fiction.
She didn't so much as cast a glance towards Félix as she walked. Her face was still a mess, not as bad as it had been before, but she was still seriously mauled, though the worst of it had already healed to its normal state, the lighter wounds were taking their time to heal. Slowly, without words she collected her clutch and shoes from where they had been laying on the ground.
With one uneasy step followed by another she slowly made her way to the door that she had entered through and Konishi had left through. She needed her time to think, and sort out the thoughts in her head, though no matter how much she would think about it, there was only one way for her to answer the question that preoccupied her heart, she had to ask Félix, there was no way around that.
