In the process, Chloe almost screwed up and pictured what her card really looked like, but she caught herself. Amber might catch glimpses of a card in Chloe's mind's eye, covered in an ever-changing number of ever-changing symbols, the numbers moving.

Amber would be able to feel Chloe reaching into her mind. It was like a worm, burrowing in from every direction at once. Amber would feel herself "remembering" a number of private thoughts, but the remembering felt involuntary, unnatural, guided by something external to her. She might also hear a whisper, a piece of a thought from her mother: '...try to respect her privacy, but still...'
