He didn't respond, but did agree with silence. His carelessness in traversing the data flow has caused this, but even if he's usually cautious, there's only so much he can do to prevent things like that from happening. Neon moved a bit in his sleep and mumbled something about "That insecure network..."

"A few hours... I do feel a bit hungry, my tummy hurts a little, but I want some snacks, yes.", Symlink was slowly but surely finishing his tea, and once Izumi were to go retrieve some snacks, by then Neon would be slowly waking up. Right on time as well.

"Thanks, aunt.", he replied, once she returned with the tray. Symlink was hungry, but at least kept his composure to not devour everything like a beast, humming mouthful when Neon reached up and ruffled his son's hair. Neon himself... Still looked tired, but nowhere near as hungry as Symlink, given he had at least eaten something while working on fixing his son's coding.

Before responding to Izumi, he stretched and cracked stiff joints, lazily rubbing his eyes. "It's been a while, hasn't it? Around three hours, I think?", responding, he looked at Izumi, "Sorry for the scare, sis. But I'm sure you know how I felt..."

Neon's tail swished slowly, after all he had been overexerting himself so much... The only differences between his son's exhaustion and his own, is that Neon was able to at least nourish himself and remained awake, while Symlink had been drained from his strength and unable to wake up until a moment ago.

"I couldn't rest even if I wanted, the virus was corrupting and damaging his system, had to find a way to run a remote scan, isolate it, then find the damaged files and try to repair them manually.", as Neon too looked at it, the progress bar seemed stuck at 55%.... Before it rolled over to 57% in a couple seconds.

With a smirk, he could confidently say: "He will surely be fine. The virus is gone, his body is now compiling data I repaired... That might be what woke Symlink up."

"To make this explanation simpler... It's like I had drawn his blood, examined it, gave him an IV drip with the medicine, and gave a solution that encouraged his body to produce cells to replace the lost or damaged cells.", how did that make it simpler again?

"Hm... I think I missed lunch... But I'm not that hungry... So I will just need something to perk me up, tea should do, along with some biscuits.", Neon answered, then giving a small sigh at how he had her concerned, "Can't blame you for worrying so much. After all, that's what family is about, we look after one another the best we can."

"If I just had a way to insert an antivirus in his code directly...", Neon tapped the progress bar, the screen rippling gently. One had to wonder how he could just cope with sitting in front of the screen, but given the circumstances it was for the best that he did so. At the moment Izumi has come back, Symlink has finished sating his hunger, seated now by the edge of the bed and watching the compilation's progress with his father.

"Ah, thanks sis.", he accepted the tea and biscuits, but also shared with his son. Apparently the compilation has made a jump to 70% in a brief moment, and that may have to do with Symlink being more energetic now, his ears and tail glowing as much as when he was at full health. "Dad told me I will be fully healed soon.", Symlink spoke with excitement.
