Kotah found himself sitting sidways in a rather comfortable chair. His hair fell on either side of his shoulders; some of it dangled past the arm of the chair, casting a tangible shadow from his skull. His anatomy book lay wide open on the table infront of the chair next to a chess board which was fully prepared for a game, though no one was using it at the moment. Kotah's attention, however, was on the sketchpad infront of him.

Kotah chewed idly on one of his metal acupuncture needles while his left hand supported a sketchpad and his right hand toyed with a pencil. Although his attention was on the paper infront of him, his mind was somewhere else. Wandering the depths of his conscious for the slightest bit of inspiration, Kotah explored his childhood memories.

Akira walked into the lounge, his eyes scanning the room. Soon they fell upon a boy sitting crosswards on a chair. He moved towards him sitting down on the couch across from him, a chessboard was set up and he smiled.

"Care to play a game?" he asked motioning to the chessboard.

Akira could tell that he was thinking deeply but everyone needed to take their minds off their troubles once and a while, and chess was a great way to do that. At least as Akira had found.

Kotah flipped a hand in the air, signaling an "okay." He chewed on his lower lip out of habbit as he spun the sketchpad through the air and onto the floor beside him. Tossing the pencil down ontop of it, he moved the pawn above the king up two spaces without really looking at the board. He then grabbed his anatomy book and plopped it into his lap. "How's it goin'?" he asked the man while reading his textbook.

Akira grinned and using telekinesis moved his pawn two spaces forward to match the other mans.

"It's going quite well, thank you for asking. he said in response to his question watching as he read his book. Ah, anatomy. What are you working on in that? Oh and before I foget, my name is Akira Miller. What might your's be?

He moved his hands onto the table and folded his fingers together waiting for a response.

Kotah moved the black-square bishop infront of his king, still not looking at the board.

"I have terrible knowledge what where to insert tiny needles to inflict pain." He glanced over at the man and grinned slightly. "But seriously, my knowledge of anything under the epidermis is terrible. Just lookig at muscle structure and nerve locations."

He wiggled the needle in his mouth like a toothpick, shifting it to the other side of his mouth.

Akira chuckled. So is your power inflicting pain? he asked while moving his pawn forward two more spaces. He hadn't played chess in years and at the moment he was trying to regain some knowledge of the game. That wasn't going to well though.

He looked up to see the boy move a needle to the other side of his mouth. Akira's mouth spread open into a smile. There certainly were some interesting people around here. "And, please forgive me for asking twice, what is your name? I'm sorry, I just like to know the name of people I speak with.

Akira chuckled. So is your power inflicting pain? he asked while moving his pawn forward two more spaces.

"Not exactly. Then again... I dunno. My power doesn't have anything to do with this." He jabbed his anatomy book with a finger. "You could call it a newfound hobby." He glanced at the board when Akira moved his pawn. "They only move two spaces when moving them for the first time. And they don't have to move two spaces either."

"And, please forgive me for asking twice, what is your name? I'm sorry, I just like to know the name of people I speak with.

He simply answered with, "Kotah." and left the conversation hanging there.

Akira laughed at his own stupidity. It had been longer since he'd played thought than he'd though apparently. He moved the pawn back one space.

Sorry about that, it's been a while. I shouldn't have asked if you wanted to play I'm going to be making stupid little mistakes like that through the entire game. We can quit if you like. Akira looked up at Kotah, an interesting name for an interesting person. Although Akira wasn't exactely normal himself.

If you don't mind my asking what exactely IS your power?

"It's alright. I've seen worse." He nodded to the board. "I'd probably be good if we did stop. I'd feel bad about winning after this next turn." His thin lips grinned slightly, his eyes moving his bishop and queen into checkmate after two more moves.

If you don't mind my asking what exactely IS your power?

His sharp eyes shot from the board to Akira, the dark violet core around his pupil eminating a certain darkness of it's own. "Curses, I supose. Yourself?"

Akira chuckled Thanks for saving me the embarassment. he said and reset the board with his mind. He looked up at Kotah when he felt his eyes on him, his eyes betrayed a darkness within.

I had better watch this one... Akira thought to himself.

My powers are telekinesis and well... He didn't finish his sentance he just unfolded his wings a little in answer to the question.
